    do you know how an A/C compressor works? has a magnetic clutch to turn on and off, put a centrifugal blower on that and you have your on/off. have the clutch send a signal to the ECU that tells it when it is on or off, and a chipped ECU could easily switch maps on the fly. boom on/off supercharger
