Default HEAD WORK PRO IN GA!!!

Aiight, so who is THE fuckin man for a GANGSTA ass head job. (that did NOT come out right... LOL). I am not talking about your girlfriend (although she IS good... LOL), I am talkin about for a B series head spec'd for N/A duties. NOT "fully-bolted" duties... REAL N/A duty... there is a difference (no offense).

    DFE?
    Sunbelt?

I am not talkin about no BS either... I can simply ship to inlinepro in VA and KNOW I am getting good shit. DPR (Dan Paramore racing) charges around $1100 too w/ quick turnaround. If you do not know http://www.dprracing.com/ then you are a NOOB, and your input prolly will mean nothing to this thread.

    Who's the man/shop "in-house" (locally) though.

DFE Jacksonville. From what I've seen and heard myself that's the place I would be sending to, and the place I will send mine to eventually. Can't argue with numbers and he's the one that did Mike's head as well as the LS head that they are doing right now. I've seen the ports on both and they are very lovely, plus he flowbenches the head and you have hard data to see where not only cfm is higher but velocity as well. Most people only think that CFM is what makes a good head and that is the furthest thing from the truth. Velocity has as much to do with power output as the actual AMOUNT of air flowing(CFM). But you need to keep in mind that you need a header to go with that new headwork!

DFE ENterprises for a fully worked head. every head from Don has been PERFECT an acheived the goals i needed.

Also, we have ordered 3 of the Skunk2 Digital CNC heads, an those are great as well, although a little more expensive. $1300 with a CORE an they come bare. $1850 fully assembled with a core

Head Flow Research did Peter Hues head, an it def made some sick numbers/

but locally, for an ALL MOTOR car i wouldnt trust anyone locally, my .02

    DPR sucks LOL

TBONE had a DPR Stage 6 head on his motor. 13.6:1 compression an made 248whp. The head blew up or something went wrong, he had RLZ do it, DROPPED a point in compression an made 255whp. 7whp gain with LESS compression.

    cant argue with that either

Hmmm.... too may variables to know. But I'd say that he had WAY too much head (Stage VI) for only 255 wheel.

as far as i know, TBONE had the highest street car B series around with 255whp on pump gas.

There are people making 270-280whp with 95mm cranks, he only had a 2.0l with a 87mm GSR crank, so that makes it even more impressive.

    A quick recap..
My cyl head needed repair after bending some valves while doing cam testing.
Head was originally a DPR stage 6 head that was reworked and modified by Racingflow after me bending valves after Dpr had oringinally done the work.

This was a 100% completey ported head that had made 247 at one point in time in its running on my car..
I sent the head to Brad at RLZ engineering for repair and he told me that he felt that he could modfy the alreay ported head to pick up mopre power and thats how this whole thing started..
My last dyno pulls made on a dynojet refleted the wear and tear on the motor as it has over 10,000 miles on it and over 300 dyno pulls and my power had dropped to 236.9 whpand 155 tq.

Heres the current setup as dynoed..

    85 mm bore Dart block
    stock gsr 87.2m stroke
    endyn oil pump
12.5 cr.. All my previous dynos were at 13.5 so that makes these gains all the moe impressive
RLZ modified ITR cyl head with 1mm oversize Ferrea intake valves and stock size exhaust valves
    Jenvey 48mm ITB's with 580 cc injectors
    Hondata s200
Smsp header with 2 3/4 exhaust stepped up to 3 inch from the cat back
Distributor King dist with msd 6al ignition, blaster ss coil and stock plug wires .
    105 oct unleaded pump gas..

This is an overlay from my last runs made on a dynojet to my high run made this week after the cyl head modifcation.

that was on 105octane, i stand corrected. it wasnt pump. but a 2.0l NON LS crank making that at 12.5:1 is INSANE.

my motor was 12.2ish:1 an never went over 237whp. hes a solid 20whp more. granted he has ITBs, but still, thats ALOT of power

search his name on Honda-Tech, hes about as bad as Dave Hickman, but i think hes worse. Hickman actualyl has a fast car himself, KMS slaps shit together an it never works, i have torn down 2 of motors he built for someone else. they were the WORST display of machine work an assembly i have ever seen.

Both motors lasted 1500miles befroe they blew up. I have NEVER seen a motor spin EVERY rod bearing an EVERY main bearing, have thrust washers installed backwards, an the piston to wall clearance be 1.2 a thousandth for a forged piston.

    IDIOT plain an simple

So --> went to his site for shits and giggles... who manufactures his house-brand (KMS) pistons and valve-train components? Surely he is not forging them in-house? If so he has at LEAST 1/2 a million dollars worth of tooling (machining for peeps that do not know what tooling means) hardware. That's impressive even if he doesn't know how to spec them properly.

KMS did a cylinder head repair for my cousins car and it actually came out good. I heard you have to catch him on a good day. I guess we got lucky.

Hey vteckidd it was the 98 GSR with Greddy kit that your shop tuned in January. I think i'm gonna stick with Portflow

That's a hot shop. Too far away for my liking though. I kinda heard they had some funding issues though. I have seen a LOT of great shops go under.

I know South FLorida Performance, again, they make decent turbo manifolds, but they are a Domestic Shop Primarily. I wouldnt let them do an all motor car.

Rumor has it they are moving up here to Atlanta, that will be interesting.

I heard they are/were moving North, and I also heard ATL, but I also heard Columbia, SC... but I didn't want to start the rumor mill. I wouldn't say they are a domestic shop --> they got some bad ass Civics (imports). But they are no real N/A threat. I would say that they are boost-heads though. They got some sick boosted shit.
