I did this swap in my GSR when i had it. It was awesome! The LSD is such a nice change for a FWD car. The shorter gears are only slightly noticeable... I'd say buy the type-r tranny, then sell your gsr tranny. you can find type-r trannys for around 1100-1200. If your GSR tranny has semi-low mileage you should be able to sell it for around 900-1100. That leaves you with very little out of pocket .
