Default Boost: JDM B18B or B20B

So I just found out my block are done. Now I on the market for a JDM LS or B20 to boost. I'm looking to only boost on the wastegate which is only 6.5 pounds (TiAL 38mm) but not sure which I should buy.

    S2 70mm Throttle Body/ S2 intake manifold
    780cc injector/ resistor box
Peakboost Turbo Kit w/ 60-1 turbo
Transmission will be a JDM GS-R w/ LSD

I heard B20B are really good on boost but I found both at the same price.

Does it absolutely HAVE to be a JDM engine? What difference does it make?

Go with the LS, they generally hold up better.

Are you planning to run stock internals? Unless you plan on sleeving then I would go with the B18 like everyone said. The B20 sleeves are thinner.

JDM B18b and USDM compression are different. Yes I plan to run stock internal on only 6.5 pound of boost.

Maybe it have but I honestly never thought I would own a LS motor. This is only as a big-up plan.

just go b20, resleeve it and the boost away. 84mm is pretty fun to boost with.

compression differnce is minimal unless u r talking b20z compression
that will requre a skilled tuner or it will break

just find an ls and be done with it (decent power for a decent price)
