    Default random BOV question

    i have MAF'd turbo 323 gt
    if i were to put a atmospheric BOV wouldnt the car run super rich between shifts or a let off on medium to high boost?

    i would think more then likely. your releasing air the the the ecu compensates for when the throttle valve is closed. i think you can correct it if you get an afc i think.

    I think you can tune it to make it a little better, but not fix the problem. Notice I said I think.

    yes you should use a recirculating bov.

    recurculate the air back to the intake after the maf sensor....then you should be ok

    That's the way it's set up at the moment I just want the purge sound really bad but owell I guess it'll have to stay the way it is

    on 850 we put the bov on the hot pipe to keep from running lean and bogging . downside is this means after a big pull the intercooler has to repress causing hella lag good luck

    i ran a bov on my probe with no problem........then again i had a chip on it so i dont kno

    it will cause it to run rich, but what are you using to tune your car. cause if you have a chipped ecu, they can go in and lean out the injectors once you left of the throttle. they can also do it with a safc. in general a tune will fix that once you put on your bov

    Actually quite the opposite. It causes a rich condition because the ECU thinks that metered air is still in the system and adds fuel for air that is no longer there. It can be done, but you can never tune it out completely. There are options such as a blow through MAF tube and relocating the BOV, but generally on a stock system, you will not make it go away through tuning, only make it not as bad.
