of course I am going to defend what I own, they get a lot of bad rep from people who have never even touched one. That's so infuriating. I don't know what you drive but a quick look at your previous threads shows you selling a Mustang. Of course it'll piss you off when somebody who has never ever driven a Mustang starts saying that they can't handle for shit. I am not being a dick about it, I don't see how my behavior in this thread further develops a dislike towards rotary owners, I think you are just being close minded, and your twisted mental image of rotary owners as a whole makes you unable to see we don't all suck. No need to come in and just start up drama. If you don't like rotary engines, it's fine, don't own one, and live life.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

Wow someone has no life. I wonder what it's like to be so insecure about yourself you have to go watch people get bent out of shape. Whoever raped you must have gotten really deep. Over 35 cocks deep now I'd say.

wow what did i step into! well i want to send congrats to JITB on his first rotary drive! im not going to attack the piston person cause to each their own! i have owned everything from a 302 foxbody to a awd dsm and i have a 13b fb in my stable now! its damn sure not the fastest but one of the most amazing cars i have had my hands on! i have had about 13 of these things and have had only one of them blow ( actually it was a coolant seal).

Downing was actually who I was thinking of when I said Kudzu, they know how to get it done when it come to spinning triangles inside of peanuts.

Although Downing does not build his motors. Our owner Rick Engman does. I still love your comment, it was hilarious.

I was actually refering to the early 80's IMSA RX-7. The Kudzu cars are overkill in this case.

Most race car driver/owners don't turn the wrenches themselves.

Downing is the #1 reason Mazda was successful in IMSA racing and it wasn't because he knew how to fix the motor but because he could bring a team together that could. Plus build the chassis, find sponcorship, and drive the car too.

You think Penske, Ginassi, Childress or anyone else worth a damn doesn't use an engine specialist?

Ceramic seals that wear/weigh less and produce less friction would help too.
so pretty much as long as you could get the engine balanced out good enough and get the proper cooling then it could pretty much rev to the moon?(exaggeration, yes, but i think you get what i'm saying.)

LOL I love rotary debates. Die hard rotary owners go ape shit and act like the rotary is some god made motor.

I love rotaries myself, especially at the track, a 400whp rotary is a FAST car, a 400whp V8 isn't as fast. They do put power down differently, I know a LOT of rotary road race guys, all real cool guys and all definitely not rotary fan boys.

Well damn I guess your wagon did use to be bad ass.

20B's are bad ass motors, especially in NA form.

    Of course.

Me and Tomas used to be good friends when i lived in GA. His son has built some nice cars as well.

It's been many years since he's had it but he's had too many other Rotary Corollas in the mean time.

Does anyone know if he finished the TA72 Celica or sold it?

well you'd eventually reach a point where the flywheel and clutch wouldn't be able to take the stress of rotating and they'd shatter, but yes. There is a 3 rotor FC on youtube with a redline of 16K RPM. It's called the MPS Rx-7.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

Great motors, i haven't played much with mine since i am planning to keep car to as close to factory condition, but i do plan on getting another one to play with. Some think Rotaries are freaking awesome motors, some think garbage, but same can be said about other motors. Some hate Subaru motors just for the fact it's more dollar per hp compared to evo...does it make it a bad motor? Some hate honda's for no TQ, bad motor? All motors have pro's and cons.

3 rotor, na, built, game over...even better 4 rotor.
