Ok so last week we were arguing over dyno graphs. This was in reference to a statement i made saying "you make 20-30ft lbs of TQ over me everywhere".

you vehemently denied this.

Well we were both half right. I did some more comparisons today and this is what i will post on my behalf, but also concede that i made an error myself.

GRAPH 1
This is what my car most RECENTLY dynoed(2 weeks ago) vs YOUR dyno. We both make the same power roughly PEAK WISE.

Explanation: I was looking at MPH to gauge from a 40-120 roll how close we would be at certain MPH. This is your car in 3rd gear vs my cars 3rd gear. As you can see, its EASILY 30hp difference starting at 40mph. Not to mention the difference in TQ.

This is your cars dyno vs MY CAR in RPM, not MPH.

Explanation: Again, 3rd gear vs 3rd gear. When you change from MPH to RPM you dont get quite as exaggerated differences, but you can see where you make tons more midrange (although you are right we would be starting from a higher RPM anyway) but you do make more power than me up to redline.

This is YOUR CAR vs JOSE a customer of mine with a 06 RSX Type-S.

His car runs a KiddRACING RSX header, almost identical to YOUR header. Only difference is he is on STOCK ECU, no KPRO, stock intake manifold, PS, 2.25in Exhaust.

you guys make almost the same PEAK hp, and pretty close in TQ. Your car shines in the midrange which is a benefit you see from A)KPRO tuning and B)RBC Intake manifold C)bigger exhaust.

All this graph really does is show you that your car makes almost identical numbers to another one with similar mods. PEAK HP would not change that much on JOSE car with a KPRO tune but he would pick back some more midrange for sure. IE your car is tuned pretty well (as it should be because Dan did it) and there is not a ton of HP left on the table, negating the argument that you could pick up 5-6 whp that MY header won by. Jose dynoed through a full exhaust, you cant tell me that your 3in would be worse than his off the shelf exhaust (5zigen)

Final Analysis:
I made an error when viewing the MPH graphs as the one thing i forgot was that those were taken 3rd gear vs 3rd gear. OBVIOUSLY from a 40mph roll, we both would be in second gear, not 3rd. Although im pretty sure the differences in power would still be noticeable but prob not by as much.

Looking at the 1st graph, if you guys did a 60mph roll, both of you would be in 3rd gear. Evan would have a massive power advantage from 60mph to just over 80mph when he shifts into 4th and you continue in 3rd.

Pretty much sums up what I've always felt the outcome would be. pretty tight in the midrange, but given a long enough run, mike would pull away.

As expected. For these 2 cars in a highway run I'll take the weight/rpm over the power/tq any day.

A dig on a similar tire is a more interesting run in my mind - but Mike can roll through the 1/4 in 3rd gear (fag) so it's tough. 1/8th goes to Evan I think.

I kept saying that Mike and I should sit down, but the more I look at it I am def not poised to even come to the show as my car sits for a highway run. He makes too much power for me - and my wagon is too heavy. I'm not a big boy yet - lol. I think we'd have fun on street tires from the dig (1/4 mile only) - I think I'm the better driver from the dig. Anything past 1/4mi though would be Kidd > Baby J

Ha ha - I think so. The only way to know is to have have some dig runs set up and swap keys and see what we run in each others car. I like setting up weird shit like that - it's more fun than just talking shit - smashing from 40 and then pulling away. I think the edge on driver ability goes to me - I HAVE to drive my car to get it to perform b/c I have less car -LOL.

Mike's car appears to be very forgiving (that's not saying he sucks - he's waxed plenty of ass on here - LOL).

Bench-racing is so much fun - and I know this b/c in my head I've kicked ALL of your asses and haven't lost yet.

I was trapping in the 105 area.

I need to order more revs from the internet. I'm loading in the BC00023s soon. Slightly larger than the 404s. I won't go bigger than that b/c it'll make the setup too peaky (w/ the Crower 405s) and I like my midrange. I'm def running out of cam though as the setup sits right now.
