my defend the civic detector is on, my bad im an ef fan myself but i can appreciate anycar that someone modifies for themselves and not to follow a trend or to please someone else. there are people who mod civics and hondas cause the love them and there are people who mod civics and hondas cause they love following trends...same goes for any make of car.
its been this way since the first car nut drew a set of flames on his car with a can of house paint back in tha day when my grandpa was a hot rodder.....

I liked them when I was like 15-16. Growing up a little, I appreciate nicer cars...and a Civic, no matter how modified, is still a Civic. I don't understand why someone would swap motors, turbo, all just to break 14's in a quarter mile. That's not fast. Why not buy a faster car to start out with?

Note that I'm not speaking anything about my car or how cool it is... I know it's "just another Z" and I know it's slow and I know it handles like shit etc etc haha

to help you understand the performance mod thing, for me it was about the challenge, easy to build a big fast v8 or v6 but when you build a 4cyl that will eat a v8's ass for dinner well thats something to be proud of.

i got bored with 350's and 302's and 455's hondas challenged me to me they are still like little toys kinda funny, when you open he hood and see a sohc killa, there is just something about being the underdog and knowing your gonna win the fight. and break 14's we did that shit 10 years ago there are sohc's runnin 9's man

You know what I meant, lol. I just think it makes more sense to start out with a faster car, and mod it from there... a sub-10 second car is hard to get no matter what you start out with (for the most part)

Thanks bro! I just didn't want to perpetuate the stereotype of all Z owners thinking their car is the best car on the planet and everything else is beneath them. I do see what you're saying, BUT I still think if you wanna make something your own why not start with a base nobody else has?
