Only thing I can say is he is gonna need it.
I have 2 honda's. Does that mean that is all I like and love, hell no. I drove to Vengence racing up on highway 19 from around Gadsden Al in one of the Nastiest camaro's I've ever driven. And followed one even cooler. The #1 Hennessey 2010 Camaro. Look in Road & Track this month. You'll see it.
But driving this C5R powered camaro w/ better heads and cam and bigger throttle body made me appreciate, and loathe many things about my honda. you just can't beat over 500 whp and 500 whtq with a stick NA. It's so raw, so nasty, so un streetable and grouchy below 2k rpms. There just isn't anything like being able to stomp it in 4th gear and feel the tires get a little loose on the pavement going down the interstate.
But the downside of driving such a big nasty car is that the muscle car scene is FUCKING BORING. It is so many corvette's, which I would love to get my hands on; but no it's grandpa who just keeps it garaged and putts around in it, and then there are a whole lot of damn red necks. Only about 30 percent of the scene is even tolarable.
Sure Imports are weaker, mostly because of smaller engines and FWD, but I love both of mine. (truly I did feel like I was driving a go kart home after driving it).
A part of me burns for big nasty V8 power, but I have better things to do with my life now. I burned an entire tank of gas being easy on it there and back and had to fill up before I got back. RWD, V8 big block is amazing, Honda's are great,
But Your ass is gay for even thinking your Hyundai is even in either of these categories.
G/L with the warranty, you are gonna need it
end of my rant
