I had read an article about this set up. SOHC pistons, ITB intake manifold, header, mega squirt and it made nearly 180 whp. and 180ish wtq. I can't remember the number exactly but it was a major gain over stock DOHC.

Oh yeah and if you can get a hold of them, (2) 1991 DOHC exhaust cams is supposedly the best stock cam set up to run. They are the more aggresive profile cams from nissan, each year after that they got milder and milder.

In the Early 90's there were a good amount of race team making 200 whp NA with just the single cam head too. I have ridden in a fast built na sohc and it was very fun in a stripped out coupe. This was about 8-9 years ago now though.
