    Default Any Locost/Lotus 7 owner on here?

    Anyone else own or is building a Lotus 7 on here? or I'm I the only one?

    I know a guy that built a locost but im not sure if he is on here.

    What motor do you have in yours? I was thinking about going with a rotary.

    12a rotary with a rx4 4 speed transmission . The rotary engine is one of the best engine for a lotus bc of the power to weight ratio. Some people also you engines from a motorcycle.

    I was thinking about a 13bt. How hard is it to put together from a kit and what about getting them registered for street use?

    It all depends on the kit. For example the Westfield kit uses a miata for donor part. I have not got mine registered yet, but what I read and hear, it pretty easy. In a few weeks I should have mine road legal. Then I will try to make a write up of how to do it.
