Are these out yet? Anywhere? I haven't really heard much about them, but see one racing.

Toyota is waiting for Nissan's V-spec time around the ring to beat. And Honda is waiting for Toyota's time. That's my assumption at least.

Honda cancled the NSX. Acura still has no V-8s or anything interesting.

    Some new pics.

Honda shelved the NSX replacement project. If economic conditions get better, there is no doubt Honda will go after the LF-A along with the GT-R. And for something extra, Honda's new CEO was the head of the original NSX chassis design.

Also, the CEO of Acura announced publicly that even though the NSX replacement was shelved, they are still going full force to achieve Tier 1 status. Speculation of a V8 RWD RL derived from the project is still possible.

No offense but we've heard that same bullcrap for years. First off their NSX replacement was ugly and a front engine V-10. That is no NSX that is something else. We have heard for decades Acura going RWD, geting V-8s etc. They are not. What we do get is some old ass engine and an old ass 5 speed auto and the ugliest vehicles around.
I loved Acura in the 1990s. The brand now, is a complete joke.

Tier 1 is more than some products, its image, dealer service, style, desirability etc. Acura will never be Tier 1. SOrry.

Hence why I said NSX replacement, it was never confirmed as an NSX. Also, the J series has not lived out its life. Toyota just recently replaced it's aged engine, while the J series still has a few years left. The J series still makes it onto the Ward's 10 best engines. And 6 speed has just been introduced and will trickle down to the other Acuras.

Honestly, what was so great about Acura back then? All they had was the NSX and Legend to present the brand. The Integra was just another Honda (although a great one). The Vigor, older TL's, CL's, EL's weren't that great. Now Acura has SH-AWD across the board aside from TSX (speculated to receive it as an option for MMC, and owners have already noted that there is space for a rear differential). And Acura just acquired a separate financing arm from Honda. The current RL has front biased AWD because Honda didn't think RWD was necessary until sales tumbled. Now there are spy photos clearly of a RWD sedan.

I wouldn't give up on Acura just yet, but I do know Lexus doesn't impress me much.

Well if Lexus doesn't impress you much, there is almost no need for me to respond. We have seen Lexus come after Acura and blow them away. Lexus is sold worldwide, they are in segments Acura doesn't compete in and Lexus has won/wins every award possible. Acura is clearly not a bad brand at all but clearly 3 steps behind Lexus and TODAY even behind Infiniti. The term "Lexus like" is used throughout the industry.

Uhhh, Acura didn't get a seperate financing arm. They are just changing the title on the statements to say "Acura" instead of "Honda". It took them over 20 years to figure that out? Yeah thats advanced lol

Sorry but you are one of those loyal fans blind to the huge gaps/opportunities they have. The Lexus 3.5 V-6 embarrasses the Honda 3.5 and 3.7. Its faster and more fuel efficient. Lexus has 6, 8, CVT trannies and a 6 speed manual. Acura has what an old 5 speed and a manual? Acura has no coupes or convertibles, Lexus has two. Lexus has 4 hybrids, Acura has none. Both have AWD, you do realzie the "SH" only actually works when you are at 10/10th and I have yet to see a SH-AWD Acura at the track so its a moot point. Lexus has literally 4 V-8s, Acura none. Lexus has the IS-F, Acura nothing. Lexus has the 120,000 loaded LS 600h L. Acura's most expensive car is not even 1/2 that price. My GS 450h is faster than any current Acura and more fuel efficient and can beat/meet any of them in the handling segment.

Acura in the 1990s gave us the timeless and incredible NSX. The Legend of that time is also still timeless (and as FAST as a Sh-AWD TL) especially in GS form. The INtegra ITR was incredible.

Today all we get are either a rebadged Civic (CSX) rebadged Accord (TSX) Accord based cars (TL/RL) and CR-V/Odyessy based SUVs (RDX/MDX). Mind you the RL has sold like squat crap since 1996 and they can't give them away. The RDX never met sales goals either. THe new TL has been a failure and their new styling direction is literally THE LAUGHINGSTOCK of the car world. (BMW is now happy lol).

Acura is a brand that is basically for low expectations having Honda owners who are blind with loyalty.

    They lost their plot/way. Sorry.

Here is the Acura design direction. lol

Lol, I never said Lexus isn't a great brand, nor did I say Acura is better. I would just never buy a Lexus. You'll have to excuse me if I prefer a Honda or BMW.

Lol, I just realized your username is 1 Sick Lex. Lexus is without doubt a benchmark for luxury. Looking at your profile, I applaud you for owning some nice cars at a relatively young age.

Lexus LF-A Concept will debut in video game Need For Speed Shift this September

Need For Speed Shift car line up has been announced and Lexus LF-A Concept is on it so here is our first chance to take it for a spin before the real one shows up in Tokyo.

Hopefully they do what they did with Nissan GT-R in Pro Street. They announced it as a concept and when real production model premiered they replaced concept version with production one.
