    Default Brembo brake pads

Good day! My ride is a 2003 Celica GTS. I am currently using EBC green stuff on my ride and I am planning to upgrade my brake pads to brembo brake pads. Do you guys think it's much better? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I've never even seen brembo pads and I'd consider myself obsessed with brake upgrades lol!

I'm sure Hawks would be cheaper and work as well or better...

there really isn't any need to drop that kinda cash on Brembo items if you will never get the full use out of them. Just stick with Hawk or OEM. Like Speed said, Hawks a good pads and if you need replacements, most stores carry them.

That's all we run in our road race cars. Hawk HT10 or the Blue's just depends on what application or track your running!

+ like ZOMG for HAWK. i finally FINALLY!!!! Got my HP Plus pads after almost 2 months of waiting. but if you want a nice good pad id deff try some Hawk HPS... great for street and it will still be good for some "spirted" driving. HP Plus is one step further and a pain to find... well for me that is. they squeal alot more at normal DD driving temps. but when cold or hot like in the mtns they are stone cold quiet and just uber nice graby... i love them. thats why i waited 2 months for them lol

^i've heard that if hawks arent bedded correctly that they will squeal..i dont know how true this is, but i imagine there is some grain of truth to it.

Depending on the compound they will squeal no matter what you do, especially when they are cold.

Doing what on a track? If it's just touring laps then the HPS is more than enough. Remember your brakes are only as good as your tires. If you're on street tires than the HPS should be more than enough.

If you're really worried about brake dust then go Ceramic

i love my advance ceramics because of no brake dust...i plan on donig more auto-x and hopefully when money gets right, do some track days ...those ceramics provided by hawk arent really applicable for track or auto-x are they?

Not for the track, don't quote me on this but I think they have less initial bite and they get hotter than other pads which could lead to warped rotors if abused...for a daily driver they are great. The best thing to do is swap the pads as needed depending on the application that day or weekend.

ill try to find out more info, but thanks for the heads up. i dont know if i didnt run enough or what, but my rotors still seem find on the max, they dont shake/shiver when i'm coming to a stop. but i did consider having a set of pads just to put on when i go to the track..looks like i may do that

    PS sorry for quoting you

If you haven't driven on a track or a serious mountain run then you're highly unlikely to warp rotors...or unless you are doing repetitive hard braking from triple digit speeds on the street anyways lol.
