  1. #1

Default I am looking for a recomended car detailer...

To do a full detail to the exterior of a car. Clay bar, polish, wax etc... Looking to get a nice protective coat so all I'd have to do it keep up with it. I have done this before but would like to see what's out there and at what cost.

I am looking for quality over price.

    Anybody you would recomend?

Homer Simpson - I taught him and he went crazy.

We don't use wax...we prepare the paint with clay, buffer, contaminate stripping. You can't do the job correctly without the proper canvas.

He isn't cheap and a complete 1 coat polish and sealer...well, it takes hours and depending on what needs to be done.

    You can PM him...

With swirls...if a finger nail get caught in the the swirls, its too deep to safely buff out. A abrasive cleaner would have to strip of the clear if your nail nicks it.

    If your swirls aren't bad...then:

A good wash then buff usually would require an hours time to do the whole car. Clay another hour. Contaminate strip (old wax, bird poo, tree sap, bug guts) half an hour. Wash with soap agent that soften tap water. Microfiber dry with mild buff. Check work and if all good proceed with polish (can't tell you what it is, not in retail stores) let dry and set, buff off and seal.

This process, takes at least 4 hours...at least.

You'll be left with a gleaming clean car, no grit on paint, smooth as polished glass, bugs slipping off.

I personally charged $150 for a black 01' BMW 540i with no buff job. Wash, Clay, Wash, Polish, Seal. He amazed, though he could put his hands into the paint. Did an 05' Odyessy for $250 (due the size).

Again, I can't say how much he'll charge, it depends on what needs to be done. You should PM him.

aaron-PM me, I have a buddy who does my mustang, dads viper and other cars we have. If you are looking for a beautiful polish/wax/buff he can do it. If you want a wet sand + budd and waxing he can do it. Just lemme know. That clay bar shit sucks.
