    Default custom gsr turbo setup

ok. i have posted before about i was doin some stuff to my car an kinda didnt know if i was goin na or boost. my car died on me an i threw some type r pistons in which upped my compression. ok so i made my mind up an that i was goin to go boost but now in thinkin that those pistons are goin to come an bite me back in the rear end.

so so far i have a t 25 turbo with a internal wastegate blow off valve and manifold. next im goin to get a inicooler kit.

what im throwin out here is that besides the pistons my motor is stock, but i think i can get away with the high compression but have low boost. "but how much would be too much"?

my car runs rich as crap as it is now. do i need to upgrade my injectors? or could i just get it tuned with the chipped p28 i have an be good?

is there anything else i need to take into consideration? want to have everything in order.

my manifold will not fit the turbo that have. so i think im goin to get a t3 or a t4. those will fit my manifold.

I think you would probably be better off going N/A with a B18. They have a lot of potential and you are gonna pay a lot of money for not a lot of gain with a turbo setup on your car.

psi shouldnt limit you, stay under 275whp and always use 93 octane. get professionally tuned and it shouldnt be an issue. those itr pistons are known for having slightly weaker ringlands though, so be careful. gl with the build. and btw, you either have a t3 or t4 flange, not both. the turbine housing mounts to your manifold, which is normally the smaller. in your hybrid t3/t4 turbo's, the t3 is the side that will bolt to your manifold. a straight t4 is immensly too large for a stock motor.

You'll get away with high compression pistons running low boost. But IMO you might as well just go ahead and get some lower compression pistons in there so you can more boost later on.

if i remember correctly, ull be maxed out as far as ur injectors go on 5psi. stock honda injectors arent made for boost. u should get a better fuel pump too. and no, the t25 wnt fit ur mani, ull have to have one made or get a t3 turbo. stock pistons will hold boost but not over 12 psi and that pushing it unless u get a thicker head gasket like i did. hks 3 mil gasket costs 320. inline pro sells the thiker gasket too but i dnt feel like looking up the price.

u have to pay to play. and if u cut corners ull pay even more. do it right the first time.

PSI is not a limiting factor, it is just a variable as. Be more concerned about the power limit, not the psi "limit".

Like patrick4588 stated, your flange will more than likely be T3, not T3 and T4.

I would also suggest an injector/pump upgrade and go over your setup well with whoever is going to be tuning the car. Be carefull w/ the c/r, but theres no need of being scared of it.
