A.) I don't believe your claim at all to be honest, because if it were true Pepboys would be paying for the damages done to your car. I WORK in a tire shop and that's one of our biggest no-no's, allowing a car to go out with a wheel loose. Could it happen? Yes, and in the event it does, that shop will pay for the damages, as long as you actually follow their procedure, which isn't that hard. Most likely you've done something boneheaded like NOT call them as soon as it happened, especially if the wheel came loose the same day.

B.) Why in the hell would you take it to Pepboys to have them redo your timing? I do know plenty of guys who could do it for you at Pepboys, many of them being ASE certified mechanics. The problem is that you should be smart enough that you can do it yourself, considering how easy it is to do for your car. If you don't have a timing light, you could always rent one (Most Advanced/Autozones could probably do that for ya) or borrow one from a friend.

C.) If you REALLY cared about your car, you would have checked your lug torque before you set off after having the wheels off anyways. Not that hard to ask them to borrow the torque wrench and a socket and hit all the lugnuts quickly. Especially on Hondas with aftermarket wheels, they are NOTORIOUS for the lugnuts slipping loose even when tightened to manufacturer spec's.
