Your ecu goes into "O sh!t" mode from all the power vtech adds. When it sees this it cuts your fuel and safely returns to normal.
Check the oil pump, plasti gauge the cam bearings, main bearings and rod bearings and make sure you have the right tolerances. Double check timing belt also, i know someone who swore he did it right and it was 180 out..
