    Default Name That Motor!!!

    I was having a big debate with my peoples the other day and I came up with this thread. Now even though I drive a Honda My favorite motor is not a B16A. Well anyways .................

    If money wasn't an issue what kind of engine would you build?

    I don't consider myself an importer, more like an enthusiast so here are my choices.
    Eruo: S54 out of the E46 BMW M3. Set up with twin turbos.
    Asian: A fully built RB25(bored,stroked,and boosted)
    Domestic: Yes American Muscle! I am a Mopar fan when it comes to domestics I have yet to see any motor out perform or outlast a well built old school Hemi. It up to this day doesn't have any solid competition(My Opinion).

    Oh....... Yeah..... If I had to pick a favorite it would be the S54. I find it to be the most well rounded Drag, Drift, Track u name it, it can do.

    Euro... Twin Turbo S54 or whatever the E92 M3 motor is.

    Asian... 2JZ or RB30. That or a K20 (s2000 motor right, most Hp per cylinder)

    American... Hands down 427 LS2 Handbuilt Z06 motor. Stroke it out... all motor beast with spray.... Oh good god...

    jap- 6g72 out of an gto vr-4 ( 3000gt). bomb ass motor. comes with forged everything

    euro- e 39 M5 motor. slap on some little twin turbo's and this thing is pushing 600 hp with no build up

    american - probaly 6.1 hemi srt-8 motor

    i know you might not beable to get alot of power out this motor

    jap. - D13 and yes they make them

    &

    america - 427 BBC twin turbo mostly equiped with all Banks components

    92 Lx 466, 11.8 @ 111 (Daily Driver )
    98 sunfire GT (terrible gas mileage)

    k24 bottom end, k20ar head, full na build with itb's. I've seen this setup make just north of 400whp.

    I'd build up an LS7.
    Or a 383 LS1. 427 with a blower.

    Asian: Nissan VQ series V6
    American: A built up Chevy DOHC I6 from the chevy trailblazer in something really lightweight
    Euro: Anything Ferrari powered

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

    import: fully built 97 supra w/t70 turbo
    domestic: 08 c6 z06 w/intake, heads and exhaust and lots of spray.
    euro: ferrari f50

    815 Ford Hemi, and put 2 huge turbos on it. Already has over 1700hp when N/A

    thats a little hard to beleive. i read up on a few making 280 to the wheels and they were suped up to the teeth. it revved up to 9.5 compression was 12.5:1 etc. toda made one in a modified mag magazine it was a rsx with a k20z bottom end bored out to 2.2litres, k20a head (dc5 type r), modified f22c crank, cams itbz everything from toda and it made 280 as well. they claimed 320 to the crank

    euro- C36 from the lotus carlton

    jap- KLDE from the v6 626 or mx-6 (one of the best v6's ive ever heard. imo)

    domestic- hmm, i do have a soft spot for the 3.8l v6 from the grand national.

    i doubt it can hit 400 hp naturally aspirated.

    It's the engine in this car just in case people want to brush up on their rotaries.



    max output was 980 hp @ 10,500 RPM but Mazzda de-tuned it in the 787B to 700hp @ 9000 RPM for fear of destroying the transmission in the race.

    Well since money isn't an option in this scenario, I think making another 980hp model with a more modern transmission and high rated clutch would KILL mounted in an FD.

    I also doubt 400 But high 300's yes. The compression on that block should hold 12:5:1 easy and then it will be bored to like 2.6 or 2.7 liters

    Actually, I would make lower compression rotors, and put a custom sequential turbo system on it. Could make a lot more then. I'd have a custom tranny built also.
