we put the GT500 on an SRT-4 and we didn't get full boost to after the 5,ooo rpm mark, it would fall out of boost between shifts, and took a lot more PSI to make what a smaller charger would have made on less boost. I reinstalled everything twice because I thought for sure it had to be an exhaust leak or boost leak.

It sucked ass, it was the worst charger ever, not to be discouraging, lol.

That's interesting, did changing out the turbo solve the problem? Were you using the .70 Compressor Housing?

we ran it as it came out of the box, it came with a .70 compressor and .63 exhaust side. It spooled so slow I thought for sure there was a leak before the turbo. 30 psi + race gas 420 hp, it sucked ass, biggest disappointment ever. The car was totaled before we could go with another turbo.

Something doesn't sound right... whatever the case, I'm sorry to hear that, it sounds like the whole experience was a bad one...

gt3076r is the turbo of choice for this kind of motor. you can get a hybrid of the gt30r that will work great with little boost too. for example. gt3040r or gt3035r.
