Talking What NA car would you turbo?

I was just wondering what NA car for under a 100k would you turbo? HAS to be NA and please tell us why you chose it.

I would choose a C6Z and turbo that simply because of its potential.

The thicker cylinder walls of the standard vette would make it a better candidate for a big turbo build vs. a board stroked small black 7.0L. A lot of the C6Z's have issues compared to alot of high powered N/A now turbo cars.

I'd have to choose an inline 6 motor simply because they are harmonically balanced and have a tendancy for make gigantic power, hence why built E46 M3's are making 800-900whp on pump gas. Although they are working on a twin turbo E39M5 that should makes 6's at like 10lbs on the stock motor. Both would be good candidates for me

It's the same motor as an LS2/3 just bored and stroked. That means more cc's but less metal in between the cylinders. Pair that with to much boost and it cracks/blows.. Hence why a none-bored version should have more potential..stronger cylinder walls. This applies to alot of bored motors..M3's for example of another car like that. The M52 2.8 liter is a much better engine to boost than the bored 3.2 in my car.

You are right about reliability of the motors...but I didn't know that the LS7 a bored and stroked LS2...I really would just choose the Z06 because they are sexy as hell..and they will put out enough power when boosted.

The LS7 uses a completly different aluminum casting from the LS2/3.

    E46 M3, Lexus SC300 pre 96, Honda S2k, Rearmount on C6 reg/C5 Z06, Charger 5.7l w/rear mount, Challenger with rear-mount, Mustang GT, Camaro/Trans Am LS1....the list goes on and on.

I would like to do a SC300, E46, Challenger forsure though. I'll do at least one in my lifetime.

i completly agree with all the cars mentioned above, but when it comes to being somewhat affordable i rather ride clean and comortable. i have always loved big cars (4 doors tanks ) which is why i would boost a charger srt8.

not bad for a 4000 pound car !!

I know and that extremely badass block made specifically to fit the larger bore of the cylinders isn't exactly boost friendly. It's built to be N/A, like a 3.4L M3

Me personally, I like the look of the big body style cars too. It's always been my dream to get ahold to a 3 rotor cosmos engine and drop it right into a Mazda 929 and boost the snot out of it. Actually, not even a whole lot. Maybe 15psi and make around 400-500 whp. And go VIP style on it. People will never see that coming.

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

Honestly , I would do a stroked twin turbo set up on that new Pontiac G8 GT. I'd do that because I think they are good looking and I want to break some guys hearts and do it in something different.

Audi's RS4 or S5. They both use versions of the 4.2L V8 that powers the R8, so the hardest part would be deciding between AWD or RWD.

    1) BMW e39 540i 6-speed - Remote twin turbo

    2) BMW e36 328i Sedan - Top mount GT35R

    3) Acura NSX

    4) Mercedes CLS
