Default oil light on boosted gsr

Every time I hit the gas really hard on my GSR the oil light flashes. I do have the JDM type R guage cluster but I don't know if that means anything.

i'm not sure about the jdm guages, but maybe that is a shift up light. my friends FC has newer guages( i think) but every time he turn his high beams, his shift up light turn on. cuz that is the spot for the old guagesets high beam indicator. maybe its something like that. but like i said, i'm not too familiar with your guages

in some tuning they can put a shift light in the weirdest locations check engine lights, highbeams, colant lights and oil lights if it wasn't put into the computer with a tune i would first change the oil pressure switch on the back of the motor which isn't expencive and it still does it you might want to go deeper like checking the oil pump

    stop driving the car NOW

Check your oil, if its low, thats your problem.

if its not low, DRAIN YOUR OIL AND LOOK FOR METAL SHAVINGS.

If there is no metal shavings, check your oil pressure sensor.

If all that checks out, replace the oil pump.

Do not take a flashing oil light for granted, if its flashing its a big deal.

i was adding on to what you said by chaning the oil and plus if he is driving a boosted car you would think he knows to check his oil frequently unless he is just that nieve

why do ppl with Hondas rely on that little ass light that only comes on when the oil pressure drops down below 3psi... tell him to stop driving the car immediately get an oil pressure gauge and check the readings... should be 10psi at idle and 50psi at 3000 rpms...

it's fine, if it's flashing it just means turn the boost up.
