Default I am convinced on the GT-R

I don't know when, I dont know exactly how but after reading all the reviews I just have to do it.. the first year or two will probably be impossible to obtain one with the premium but after then... expect one in all black to be in Douglasville.

Sure the car is fast and all... But if I had the money I don't think I would buy one.. Or If i did I would just leave it basically stock... but stock is boring.

pretty cool car, but at the end of the day its still a nissan. Ask a girl what a nissan GTR is, and they dont know. Ask them what a porsche is, and any girl will know.

True... but honestly I could care less about impressing girls, I can do that on my own without needing a fast, expensive car.

Once again another reputable source raving about what an amazing vehicle this is. Cant wait to see what happens after a few production years when this baby is really dialed in.

yes sir, very true about girls not knowing about a GTR, but again, all they need to know is the guy who is driving

definitely can't wait to see how it turns out after a few years

70,000 dollars is a little crazy for a nissan even if it is a skyline

That picture says lol @ the Japanese pos playing with a real car. A car that actually looks good.

The new GTR is ugly, no matter what the reviews say about its performance I would take a Porsche over that ALLLLL day long.

I love it. I don't care if it isn't the porsche and I'm not a fan of Vettes. This is what I'd get if I had the money (or the next true rotary sports car when Mazda makes it).

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

yes but with the performance that this thing exhibits it should cost $400,000 it has been said by road and track car and driver and even by ceo of nissan. This car is the best bang for the buck at $70,000 the Z07 is not that great and yet that car is going to be a 100k. Also don't forget ther are still two more versions of the gtr that are coming out that will be even better than this and they will still be sub 100k. The same thing could also be said about the Ford GT. 100k for a Ford quality product but 70k for a Nissan I'll take it.

I find it hilarious about how everyone says they'll take the GTR over <insert sports car here> when the fact is maybe 0.5% of the ppl that say they will get one can actually afford one.

Second off, it's a Z06, not a Z07. The new Corvette is called ZR1. The C6Z06 would trample the GTR. The GTR might start putting up a fight from 0-60 but it definitely won't finish it.

**** that is an ignorant statement.

    Its a AWD car.

If you put race tires on a AWD car it picks up a couple of seconds at a Road Atlanta, if you put race tires on a rwd car it picks up five or six seconds.

I've got news for you, A Bone Stock Z06 on Race Tires VS a GTR on Race Tires....the Vette will smoke it.

what does it matter if someone can afford one or not. so your saying that just because i can't afford a supra i can't have an opinion on it. Be real.

And forgive me that I got the name of the car wrong but ummm where the hell are you getting your info?Last I checked the GTR beat the Z06 around the Nurburgring by 10 seconds.

997 turbo is sick no doubt, If i had the money to spend on it I would but being realistic if I was in a position to buy a new car I would consider the skyline without hesitation.

Not to start a flame fest here because you may be right but.. the car isn't even out yet so I'm curious as to how you come to that conclusion? Because its AWD?

I'm not one of these people that thinks the new GT-R is gods gift to the road, I actually didnt want to like it but the more I read the more I can appreciate what it is. Its not even so much the performance or it can beat this or that.. I just feel on a daily basis it would keep a smile on my face in different ways. Its basically everything I wanted in a TT G35 and then some, others may want it because of the numbers or its faster than a 911 Turbo.. personally I could care less.

That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. You don't own one, haven't owned one, haven't modded one, driven one to it's full potential against another car so how can you lay claim to it being the best car for $70k?

You are the definition of a fanboy.

What about the Mercedes C63? Its going to be a beast as well.
6.2 Liter V8, 450hp, and only ~$60,000! Well worth considering as well!

If that's the case the what the hell is the point of having a Car Talk section on IA? As it seems the answer is none right out. Because according to you there is no point for anyone to have an opinion on any car other than the one they currently own or previously owned. Which in turn means you shouldn't have posted in here in the first place. Look if your not gonna throw anything somewhat constructive in hear then just don't post so that the other of us who would like to actually discuss the car can without your bull ****

Yes I'm quite aware of that but this thing would be soo much fun to drive everyday! I don't plan on becoming a racecar driver so I wouldn't spend much time on the track as I would driving to and from work everday powersliding every turn i get :P

ehhh, i've had my fun with a roadster. I don't think i could own one again. Too impracticle for everday driving. As for the cts-v, looks superb but I dont think I would purchase a new Cadillac.
