Does anyone on IA have one?
Does anyone on IA have one?
my friend has a four door si, the mugen is the exact same thing except that it has a lip kit and diffrent badging
^^^ No buddy the mugen has a lot more to it than just that
other than i diffrent suspension i think thats all thats diffrent performance wise. and they got a small ass engine bay.
18" wheels (lighter than stock 17")
track tuned suspension!!
your sig is way to dang big son...
I just dont really know why someone would spend (I think) $30,000 on a Civic when they can get something like an STI or Evo. I love my Civic, but there is a limit to the insanity.

You guys are lame!!!
Because the car is just a "civic" doesn't mean it can be valueble. Look at the current going rate for eg's. I promise you majority of those hatches sells for more than double what they are truly worth. Rarity and demand determines cost!!! Since the Mugen Civic is a limited production car it's worth more than what you think it should be.
ALSO HOW STOP COMPARING CARS PRICES BASED ON SPEED!!! NOT EVERYONE GOES FAST!!!
yeah, why people even spend that much money on that ugly civic? go get a s2k with that price unless it is the jdm civic.

I think the civic will be a collectable so if you buy it 10-15 years from now the price will not budge or it will rise.

it kind of looses... in the pricing and what u get department. all those cars can and or will be available for much less thatn 30k..
it will be valuable in the future, but not because its a mugen, but because its a honda..![]()

Ummm same motor, basically the same exact car as the 4 door SI, but you are paying all that money for a Mugen Lip kit, Spoiler and badges and interior badges. Some slight suspension mods. So if someone is dumb enough to pay $35k for a civic with a body kit, they are a dumb ass. No extra HP, not even a aftermarket header, just a basic ass SI with limited production numbers

Once again it's not just about performance.
Yes even with just those slight mods it will still take the stock si civic anyday. I'm not saying that i'd pay 30k for it, i'm just stating that it is not the same as the stock si. It has limited production numbers which will of course make the price much higher.Originally Posted by Brett
Dude you dont know me I guess, if you saw my show civic you would know I am not all about performance, TRUST ME, BUT if I am paying 30k+ and a 5K limited car mark up, You bet your ass I want something over a standard civic besides a body kit.Originally Posted by bigdare23

People assume every car in the same price range should perform equally as good when that's not the case. This car was design as an collector's item, and not as race car. If Mugen really wanted to release a car to battle the Sti's and Evo's, they would of released this

But when u build a sport compact speciality vehicle, the key thing is price... the people who want the mugen... most cant afford that price.
Big- I love civics, I love Mugen- Im not bashing on the car. My personal opinion is that if was thinking of dropping 30K for a car, I would go with an AWD turbo over FF NA. I dont care about 10,20 or 30 years on. It will probably go up in value over time, but so did other cars like the 70 Buick GSX which was overpriced to.
Dont really know where Im going with this. Just not a fan of a 30K Civic with a badge.

The parts added is not the only reason for the price is also has to do with how limited it is. People who are going to by this car probrably wont even be driving it but instead just make it sit in the garage.
mugen=JDM? lol//
well, JDM means Japanese Domestic Market.....so yesOriginally Posted by takume
The wheels alone are about 3k. I don't see what people are complaining about. The Mugen Si isn't replacing the Si sedan. Don't buy it if you don't want it. No one is making the consumer shell out an extra 8k. It doesn't matter either way, cause these cars will sell.
i didnt buy one, but was the first to set in it, at my local dealer. i must say that the mugen exaust makes the car sound alot more sportier. i think they wanted like 32000 for it.

I have sat in the Mugen Si at Nalley, and it is amazing. One of the most comfortable cars ever.
and dont compare this to an s2k. Its not even close to the same category. no one wanting a mugen 4 door is going to change their mind at the last second to get a new ap2 s2000.

well if you put it that way, what about people with old 5th gen civic who spends $$ putting K20 engine and new paint job and so on......same thing man, people who buy those mugen civic just have more money than one with old civics who can't afford mugen. admit it bro, If I had the $$$ I will just go for Mugen as well.Originally Posted by GSRtegョ
I never did- since when did they start making an S2K in AWD turbo. When I mention all wheel drive and turbo together most on the people on here naturally assume STI or Evo.Originally Posted by EBP_EM1

the mugen si in person looks way better than in the pictures, it almost does want to make one pay a little more a month for it
FYCN in a rick james voice
rare=more $
if u dont have the cash then dont buy it. the car is worth the $ though so u cant really argue that!
i seem to see alot of haters in here. why would you even argue about the difference of price in a regular si and a MUGEN si. first of all you pay for the quality of "mugen" its got "mugen" parts that will be covered by the dealer. a person with the money to afford it and loves honda like most of us do in here would by this car. imo. i would spend 8k more for my title to say civic mugen si, keep it nice and clean with low miles until i retire and sell it for more than i bought it for.
