I like rota.
I like how they copy classics.
Cheaper and newer.
I see no problem with that.

Its every small wheel company now, but yeah, that doesnt make it right.
(by "small wheel company" I mean half ass, no class, knockoff artist bitches)
Nothing is sacred. I hope every big wig at Rota dies a slow and painful death.

Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
I love how the term "Ricer" is instantly applied to anyone that doesn't think the same way another person does.
Who really gives a flying **** if someone has Rota's or not? Do any of you who are bitching about it actually buy any Rota's? If you don't, go in the bathroom and pat yourself on the back, you earned a gold star for the day.
If you care about it that much that you can't sit on your high horse with your rare Japanese wheel anymore because another company copied it, boo hoo. The rest of the world gives a ****. If you don't like Rota's, don't buy em. If you do, do. It's that easy. But to sit here and make fun of people (behind their back or in their face) is just ridiculous.
Some folks might not want to buy a set of beat up Advans for 400 bucks, then spend 500 on tires when they can get a new set of wheels for the same price. Some people use their parents money, and no self respecting parent is going to buy their kid used wheels for his car. So instead of that, they comprimise and get the Rota's.
So instead of thinking with your JDM Elitist "I'm better than you cause I got the real thing", try thinking with your brain. Would you buy a used set of Nike's just because they are Nike's or would you get new shoes that might look like Nikes but haven't been abused by a former owner?
Sheesh you guys are something else sometimes with all this elitist bull****.

They've seen a car on honda-tech or jdm universe or nwp4life or whatever the case, with the real deal wheels and want to emulate that........BUT then talk shyt about the people who actually care what goes on their car because they forked over the money through blood, sweat and tears, or maybe through the swipe of a credit card to get those real wheels.
My point is this: if you buy Rotas because you simply want a set of wheels for your car, fine. BUT if you're buying a set of Rotas in the hopes that you're going to fool and or impress ppl that you think don't know any better( and go as far as putting decals in the attempt to mimic the real thing) then you're a fuking poser, point blank.
I agree with that, if you get em to try and fool people, shame on you. If I bought some Rota's, i'd rock Rota logo's on em. I buy a wheel because of looks, I could give a damm if it says Volk, Rota or Sonjay Gupta's Turbo Special. Doesn't matter to me. I buy wheels for me, not everyone else.Originally Posted by StuntallDay

Without the average buyer of these wheels who also buy lot's of other stuff usually, the scene that you love and the Japanese products that you so like to sport would have taken alot longer to get here. Do you think and Autobacs would have opened up without the "poser" demand for it? The JDM market flourishes because of all these average posers who make a market force. People see this and they bring whatever they can latch onto into the states. Because I hate to break it to you, but the JDM diehards aren't responsible for any big movement in the Import Scene, masses are. An example would be this.
Import Atlanta. Without the 954215451 average people, this site would be nothing. Very little sponsors, very few posts and hardly no traffic. But pour in about 10,000 posers and it becomes a large site generating revenue, attracting sponsors and Julio can buy a new car. See how that works, numbers are power, the more number, the more power. It works the same way with automobiles. 200 diehard followers of the Skyline weren't responsible for it coming to America. IT was the 100,000 or more screaming fans of the car on message boards, importing them at astronomical fees and whatnot that got Nissan to finally bring it over here. Besides, Advan, Volk or any other hardcore JDM wheel makers aren't making jack on used wheels. They actually get screwed on used wheels since that person that wanted them won't buy new now, that's why alot of wheel companies also do tires or are under an umbrella company of tire companies. They get you either way. But a good bit of the time your Rota buyer will move on to better wheels so in the end companies still win.
The funny thing is that wheels such as Rota's and whatnot have a following in Japan. They will forgo the real thing to get the fake copy because to them it's cool. Are they posers as well? Can't be, they are the real JDM.
But I do agree, if you buy Rota's, stand up like a man and rock em. Any falsafication on their part is grounds for ridicule.

As opposed to the average buyer of a JDM wheel, who buys them just to separate himself from the "cheap" wheel buyers. There's posers everywhere, no matter what brand of wheel they buy.Originally Posted by StuntallDay

That's cool if you feel that way, but I personally don't feel like I need my car or the wheels on my car to be unique or rare to make me standout or make statements for me.Originally Posted by NAIZBST

we don't like knock off wheels, but there are many people who love it. So, there is a reason for Rota survival.
