No offense, but sometimes being the anti-elitist is just as bad as being the elitist. I understand that the Skyline is definitely overhyped, but I don't under such a hatred for the car itself due to it's fanbase. If that's not your approach, then sorry for looking too deeply into your post.

Anyway, the numbers are impressive. Only 2 seconds behind the Carrera GT they were shooting for. I'm impressed.

Yes...I think the upcoming GT-R is overhyped, and horribly styled. I'd much rather have a Porsche GT3. Then again, price comes into consideration. I really don't like the way they've styled it though. The passenger cell with the tapering window looks awesome, but the front and rear ends...they could've done so much better. Looks alone are enough to ruin that car for me.

I still prefer the R32 over all of them tho.

It's not I don t like Skylines, I LOVE R32's as well, like want to **** one in the exhaust, but the new one to ME just is not the good old hardcore styled Skyline that they used to be.

I don't necessarily think the new one looks all that bad. Nissan
can't keep putting out cars that look like they came out of the
90s. I like the way the previous models look as well, but it's a
new age which means different looks. Personally, I think it's
pretty aggressive looking and I'm impressed as well with the
numbers it's already churning out at the tracks it visits.

Question though...since the new GT-R is over 280ps, does that
mean Japan has abolished the 280ps law/regulation for their
production cars?

yeah i knew about this for a while the skyline is over hyped and i doubt the new one here in the states will do well just for the wow factor but the price tag is outrageous i wouldnt expect to see too many on the road but the r33 is still my fav body style

I read somewhere a year after the skyline is release, the spec v version will be release. I believe it said it will be much lighter, have a better suspension and about 150 more horses than the current skyline. I cant wait to see that thing on the track, the spec v will probably make all car manufactures step up their game after that release

all that about the skyline at the ring is old. and the only reason it beat the gt3 is b/c thats the time that the type 2 NUR or w/e version that is ran. the set that car up PERFECTLY for that track. the gt3 comes factory only 1 sec. slower on a ~12 mile track.

a skyline is just a hyped up tank with alot of power.
