unless she is going to race get her a stock clutch and keep the stage 3 for yourself.
Unless she wants to race this car, and it is pretty heavily modded, go with a stock clutch.
If she is learning how to drive with a stick, take the keys from her before she ruins a lot of stuff.
UGA: Everybody is laughing at us this year.
stage 3 clutches are not for daily driving, change it now, or change it when it finally burns out.
either way your gonna have to change it soon.
stock clutch, stage 3 will probably be fried before too long.

It's a sprung disc right?

hahaha damn busted out
I say leave it. I have a stage 4 in my Integra and my girl has moved it around. She'll be fine once she learns.

Even with a stage III pressure plate as long as it's a sprung disc it should be barely any differant to drive than a street disc...it just has a much harsher engagement when you are shifting hard.
I daily on a sprung 6 puck (I bought it with the intentions of going turbo) and I love it.

well seeing how she is just learning to drive a 5 spd it is hard for her
It's gonna be hard no matter what kinda clutch is in there.

well it will be easier with a stock clutch dont you think
Slightly yes...enough to justify throwing in a new clutch? I don't personally think so.

daily drove a comp 4 puck sprung for 4 years dont see a problem. but its a chick driving so all your going to hear is her bitching about it until u change it out. go oem i guess i still voted for the stage 3 im lazy id put up with the bitching over changing it.

Leave it,if its harder make her learn, then she will be even better at it.
Stock/Semi stock engine with stage 3 clutch just do not go together...
Why not? What does the engine have to do with the clutch? A better clutch is simply capable of handling more abuse, period.Originally Posted by chituntang
Whether its a higher horsepower car or a new driver its still abuse and I strongly suggest at least a Stage II disc for someone just learning to drive because they are going to slip it and abuse it more. The higher stage clutch kits may have a slighter harder pressure plate but the differance are minimal and if that's the only one you've used in that car then you'll never know the differance anyways.
Well shes gonna have a toned left thigh

give her stock... or convince her..
I give out reps....
I would never go with a oem clutch just my 2 cents. I would go with a stage 1. I have a stage 2 installed in my altima and it can be hell when traffic gets rough

my wife can drive my stage 3 clutch car (240/rb20)but the oem one in my z32 she cant seem to get the hang of. go figure
ill give you my stock clutch and cash on my part????????
where's the go kill your self vote?
this whole "stage" for a clutch is retarded. stages vary from company to company. the way you specify a clutch is its make up ie organic, carbon kevlar, and so on and then by whether it is a disc or pucked. stages mean nothing
