Unless she wants to race this car, and it is pretty heavily modded, go with a stock clutch.

If she is learning how to drive with a stick, take the keys from her before she ruins a lot of stuff.

stage 3 clutches are not for daily driving, change it now, or change it when it finally burns out.

either way your gonna have to change it soon.

You were the one that wanted to borrow an automatic to drive in the mountains because a manual requires too much shifting...so whatever you say is void when it comes to cars

I say leave it. I have a stage 4 in my Integra and my girl has moved it around. She'll be fine once she learns.

Even with a stage III pressure plate as long as it's a sprung disc it should be barely any differant to drive than a street disc...it just has a much harsher engagement when you are shifting hard.

Slightly yes...enough to justify throwing in a new clutch? I don't personally think so.

Why not? What does the engine have to do with the clutch? A better clutch is simply capable of handling more abuse, period.

Whether its a higher horsepower car or a new driver its still abuse and I strongly suggest at least a Stage II disc for someone just learning to drive because they are going to slip it and abuse it more. The higher stage clutch kits may have a slighter harder pressure plate but the differance are minimal and if that's the only one you've used in that car then you'll never know the differance anyways.

I would never go with a oem clutch just my 2 cents. I would go with a stage 1. I have a stage 2 installed in my altima and it can be hell when traffic gets rough

this whole "stage" for a clutch is retarded. stages vary from company to company. the way you specify a clutch is its make up ie organic, carbon kevlar, and so on and then by whether it is a disc or pucked. stages mean nothing
