I bought my other 88 for $500 running its never gave me problems, through the 89 i bought for $2500 was a nightmare when i first bought it.....the good thing about the MKI is that there are TONS of them, and typically the ppl owning them take decent care of them. Also the resale on the cars is very low. So the chance of finding one in good condition for cheap is very manageable
