Default Who to Paint the Headlight Housing?

So I'm tired of the chrome look of my headlights and I have no idea how to bake, open, paint, and reseal them. Does anyone know of a shop that can professionally do a set? I'm looking to have the insides of my headlight shroud to get blacked out. Reps to whomever gets me a good shop.

Anyone can do it...if you are able to send me your pair I can do it for you for less then what a shop would charge.

Or you could do it yourself, especially since all you want is black. Sealant, high heat paint, and low heat baking is all you need. I'd also get some silica gel packets to prevent moisture from forming after you reseal them.

I don't like to take chances. I'd be pissed if water got into them after all that effort.

Here is a DIY from vwvortex. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1567138

I'm sure you can do the same on your car.

I could give it a shot as it doesn't look that difficult but I suck with paint and, with my luck, I'd crack or break my headlights. I think I'm going to have Sport20 do it since he did his old Protege headlights with no water problems.

Bake them at 200 for 6-8 min and they should pull right apart! Go get some sealant and high temp paint. Do it your self, its cheaper and quicker. I did mine in about 3 hours. But whatever you do, DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN!!!!!! That will for sure warp your lens.

Did several professional Retrofits by request.

Had one guy in cali send me over $1000 in housings and ballasts for a retrofit.

Did theses a few years back when i went through my HID Craze (Flash makes it look funny but the black was layed down perfectly) -3years later he still has this set on his car:

Nah, no shroud but they still looked Amazing- i went for the mechanical look

I did an in-depth, easy to follow FAQ - after that ton's of peeps started doing retro fits.

It's all about the prep work - i scuffed then applied degreaser to the bezel that's why my finish made the after market black housing look sub-par.

Nothing like a good 'ol mechanical or non-mechanical retrofit.
