    i push the stick down for the left blinker and my CEL, battery, all the lights that are on blink. BUT THE RIGHT ONE WORKS FINE!

    im just gonna have it towed and have the shop (Vision Motorsports) keep it untill its completly fixed.

    if yall dont know vision, its kitt hocks company. ive heard only good things about em.

    yea i guess you should have mentioned that the gas was 3 years old. remove the tank and dump it out. thats the easiest way to do it.

    well i finally got it fixed.

    had to hook up a hose to the fuel line and let the fuel pump drain it all out.

    haha, yeah thats about right! how the hell did he get a skyline!?!

    he did a awsome job too. found a LOT of stuff mainstream/turbo dave screwed up.

    for one, the MAP sensor was in the wrong fucking place.

    the wastegate hose was in the wrong place. (how can you mess that up!?!)

    clutch was not adjusted.

    idel hoses were in the wrong place.

    adjusted the air/fuel

    hooked up the shift light

    aligned the front tires

    and even WASHED it for me!

    ALL FOR NO CHARGE!

    only thing i have to pay for is a new bov, air filter for the turbo, and a new piller pod for the new AUTOMETER! gauges.

    he said he could use some help around his shop and if i do all the actual labor, like installing everything he would get everythign back in the right place for me. a pretty damn good deal if you ask me.

    i need a distributor too. the one thats in it is shot to hell.

    Im sorry but is this Adam? or did you buy this car from Adam?

    IIRC Mainstream did nothing but get the car to run and it dynoed almost 300whp.

    Turbo Dave had the car originally, and he never finished it. Mainstream got the car with the motor in it already and 90% of the turbo stuff installed. All mainstream did was TQ headstuds down, run oil lines, and dyno the car.

    and IIRC it was over 6 months ago when the car left. why wait till now to say something?

    I dont even work there anymore, but i was there when that car was there. It had new gas put in it when scotty dynoed it, and it had a BRAND NEW distributor on it from Distributor king.

    care to explain more details?

    why does it matter where the map sensor is, where are idel hose supposed to go, and how do you align tires? some of us are not as car savvy as yourself. please educate us.

    FYI the wastegate hose cant be in the wrong place. if it is, it does no boost or too much boost.

    Again, the car made good power, i remember no problems with it. Clutch wasnt adjusted? IIRC adam drove the car in front of the shop an then drove it all the way home.

    but thanks anyway. This guy made a thread in the Mainstream forum earlier. it just sounds like he bought this car from the original owner, and now hes bitching about it after taking it to antoher place MONTHS later. hes not providing any info. and he doesnt seem to know anything.

    its just pure stupidity unless he posts some magical info we dont know about

    i bought it from adam.

    although the work done by mainstream was much less than what we expected, thats not what im ranting about.

    i was pissed that turbo dave screwed him over and took all the money adam paid him for parts and bought other shit with it, never got the job done, and the only reason he got it when he did is because he was going to bring legal action against turbo dave/mainstream.

    you can quote me on this.

    IT LITTERALLY SAT UNDER A TREE FOR 2 YEARS.

    seems like everyone was more interested in the money than actually doing the work.

    yeah he drove it in front of the shop and and on the way home, IT FUCKING DIED!

    im bringing it up now, because i just recently bought the car.

    what im mostly pissed about is that, mainstream (being such the reputable company that they are) are working with a jerk off like turbo dave.

    i think that if adam brought straight to mainstream, it would have got in, got fixed, got out, and everyone would be happy.

    so if theres any mainstream guys that are taking it personally... dont.

    its 99.9% daves fault.

    but still....

    mainstream could have gone the extra mile for all the shit he had to go through.

    So why did Adam never bring this up? he never called Mainstream when i worked there. The car made 300whp, im sure someone over there can pull the dyno chart.

    The car was given to Turbo Dave, what he did with it is none of my business or anyone elses except for HIM and ADAM. That includes you. Let Adam fight his own battles.

    Adam contacted Mainstream abouit fixing the CRX. I know cause i USED to work there. I talked with adam through the whole process.

    When the car came to us, it was in pieces, but the motor an the turbo kit was installed. it has sat for some time, the hood wouldnt latch, the car was soaked in tree sap. it was in rough shape.

    IIRC it sat behind mainstream for quite some time while adam got money together.

    Finally it was done , adam picked it up, drove it in front of the shop, we told him his brakes were "iffy" and he paid his bill, left, and we never heard from him again.

    He paid Mainstream to finish installing the turbo kit, an to dyno tune it, that was done an paid for. We werent responsible for anything else on the car.

    Now, i no longer work for mainstream, and i really shouldnt be sticking up for them like this, but i remember alot about that car, and what was happening with it.

    Now there may have been problems with Turbo Dave BEFORE with the CRX. But that again should be taken up with Turbo Dave directly. and it should be taken up by ADAM, not some new owner of the car MONTHS after it was delivered.

    Basically, your complaining about a car that was paid for, signed for, and taken MONTHS ago by a different owner. So it gives you ZERO credibility to come in here and say how bad the job was or how shitty it was.

    You dont like turbo dave, great, call them up an talk to them. But dont bash a site sponsor based on some half assed information.

    Now if adam wants to come in here an post something, im all ears.

    Ian, mr. kidd is right... for the most part this has nothing to do with msp...

    second of all... like he stated you bought the car from adam.. adam had the work done.. NOT YOU!

    third... you are in the same boat i was in... you're a noob to the car world... something went wrong on my old hatch every week... and i had to learn how to fix it myself... hell had it been turbo'd i prolly never would have figured it out....

    i'd be willing to bet half the problems you're having you've caused... by not reinstalling things correctly... I'VE DONE IT!!!! i warped my valves after buying a new head and replacing my old one... then i had to pay 1300 bucks to get it done professionally...

    you live you learn... man... and you being 16/17 or whatever... you're gonna have plenty of car problems in your future...


    you knew the car had problems when you bought it from goode... if you didn't you're retarded... like you stated THE THING DIED ON IT'S FIRST DRIVE HOME!!! so don't get on here complaining about shops/sponsors/people who worked on the car when you were fully aware of it's needs..

    now like i've told you before... you ever need my help with it.. i've learned my way around honda engines pretty well within the last year... hit me up!
