5 speed on a 9 suck though. Redline 4th at 107mph and 5th takes you all the way to 155 and that takes a while.

On a IX RS gears 1-4 are the same as the MR, but the MR has 5th and 6th where as the RS only has 5th so top end sucks

dude dont give others advice when you have no idea what your talking about. Mitsu didnt change anything on the 9 trannys except the input shaft so the tranny dont break when a dumbass tows the car on two wheels. And no the 9 rs does not have the same 1-4 as the mr.

Actually, you are wrong. I have done my research and know what I am talking about. Mitsu did change the gear ratios and although I was wrong when I said it was the exact same gearing it is similiar
