240sx or 97-99 eclipse gst!! wat should i buy!!

so guyz herez what im tryna figure out! im lookin to buy a car. i have 2 choices that its between and came down to rii now! i want to either buy a 97-99 gst hardtop or spyder....or a 92-93 240sx hatch (s13)

so those are my choices and im trying to figure out which 1 to get! so i would appreciate it if i could get your opinions and tell me sum stuff about the cars and wat u think of them!

and i kno some of u people are gonna recommend other cars so wateva u recommend juz let me kno! and if u have a 240sx or a 97-99 eclipse gst post it and let me kno...post a thread link or mainly juz post pics and ill hollaback at u asap if i lik wat i see u kno!

buy a shell spend 8k at MAINSTREAM PERFORMANCE and get yourself a 2jz swap with 300whp/300wtq out the box.

the eclipse looks like a damn space shuttle with the tail lights like that, go with the 240 hands down.

PSINXS has a good idea there too. you can go snatch a 2jz-gte for around 2k, get it installed and do a few mods and possibly switch in a single.

Get the DSM if. You want more of a daily driver/ weekend fun car. It will be faster out the box, and dollar for dollar, will make more power than the 240. But its front wheel drive, which is boring either way you look at it.

Get the 240 If you want something to BUILD. Its rwd, and it has a huge aftermarket, so you can make the car into anything that you want.

Personally I would get the GST convertibl. Call me . I don't care.

it all really depends on what you want to do with it. I mean either way, you're going to wind up being like everyone else with one. I mean if you go GS-T, you're going to want to get bigger turbo, injectors, etc. then want to buy another car while that one is in the shop. If you go with the 240, there's the endless list of swaps that everyone else has, wheels that everyone else has, etc. Then you'll want to buy another car when you try to drift and hit a curb and bend your wheels.

So, basically you're going to wind up spending a lot of money on the car in the long run, why not go with something newer?

I voted the GST because everyone is always trying to go JDM drifter with the 240 and its getting old. I'm with Nick, get a white GST convertible, keep it looking stock, and be a sleeper. Whatever you do, don't get crazy Mexican paint jobs, gold flakes, or put your last name across the back window. Please.

I voted S13, simply because its RWD. If you're really looking for performance and fun factor, you'll regret buying a FWD.

I whoever said theres more potential in the DSM is fooling themselves. The 4G63 can be a stout motor, but you can put almost any engine in a 240. A 4G63 would have to have serious money in it to hang with just a stock LS1 powered 240 getting 25++ mpg. And the potential for that motor alone is amazing considering its lighter than the stock KA and can have over triple the displacement.

A GSX would be nice, but you should look into the problems they have with drivetrains.

As far as styling, the newer DSM beats the s13 hands down IMO, but not an S14.
