    My question is how reliable is said 230hp motor? Will it last numerous dyno pulls, multiple track runs, and still drive it home?

    yeah, even by todays standards they can last 20-30k miles driven pretty hard. Depends what RPM you are turning. My 2.0l motor i daily drove, i had probably 10-12K on it when i sold it, and it still ran fine. I had over 300 dyno pulls on my 2.0l LOL we tried lots of things and parts on it

    Bearing wear is what tends to get pretty accelerated in those types of motors. That and Detonation is that much prevalent.

    FYI that is the thread hes referring to about how "i dont know what im talking about". Anyone is free to read it and see how bad or good it is. Considering i wrote that 6 years ago, id say its pretty accurate. Clearly there has been TONS of advances in the last 6 years that i never went back an added, but factually, its correct.
