Seeing as how making big power is not a priority to drift, i dont see how any engine you wanted couldnt be made into a "drift engine". From what i gather, something reliable that has enough torque to break traction on command is the criteria. RB26 is reliable, it makes a lot of torque.... how quick it spools is completely up to you.
My issue was mainly the annoyance and funds to keep up a car like that. If I had the funds I would have kept it for sure as I know it's worth more. I don't mind taking a loss here and there its not like I took that much of a loss I traded a 8k car for a 6k or in your mind a 5k car for a 3k car. I'm about to drop another 2k into the sr coupe next week. Again this car isn't going to be built to your liking. It's being built to be drifted. It's my hobby and that's what I like to do because I enjoy it. I've done the whole drag racing and auto x and found out its not something I like.
