I make power quicker in the sr then I would have in the rb26 that turbo would have took days to spool. It would have just been more hassle. Leaking fuel cell hacked wires ect no telling if the rings are bad since it smoked so badly at idle from all the fuel being dumped.
My mind blocks any attempt to try and rationalize a setup based on drifting. Seeing as how making big power is not a priority to drift, i dont see how any engine you wanted couldnt be made into a "drift engine". From what i gather, something reliable that has enough torque to break traction on command is the criteria. RB26 is reliable, it makes a lot of torque.... how quick it spools is completely up to you.
