Finaly something got my attention not that im a h man or anything lol. Speaking of that i got a couple h22 cranks , crower rods , eagle rods, and some brand new 9-1 maul pistons for sell need something to build the bottom end ? Ask jimmy about the maule pistons im not sure ive never used them but he says good things ,maye be all you need for a cheap no sleeve bottom end that will make a ton of power. I dont use h22 cranks or rods in any of my all motor buids (i like the stroke) so let me know what you need i got tones of stuff matter fact i had a set of 9-1 je pistons to let me see if i can put my hands on them . I think i left them with rudy at quaility machine when he said he could sleeve h22 blocks to hold 40 pounds of boost for 300 dollars . I have yet to see that block lol after almost two years i just left it down there because i figured if he ever realy did it it would be worth 300 dollars lol . Seriously im sure my pistons are still there just let me know what you need ect. for the crower rods everything else is brand new never used. Im supposed to sell a h22 crank and set of rods sunday but i got three sets of eagle and that set of crower . I think i still got four good h22 cranks laying around and four h23 cranks if you wanna go that route oh and three f23 cranks if you wanna go that route lol.
Alright I'll let you know, im kinda strapped for cash right now from tryin to just get back on the road, but I will be building it after the first of the year with a simple 9:1 mahle/eagle setup. So I will get with you then. Now you see why I had her ask you about getting a motor swap. lol.
Also im sure jj knows way more then i do on this subject but i didnt have good luck on stock h22 pistons running boost so i wouldnt suggest running over 8 pounds just my two cents . Mine was a beast on 8 pounds on the street when i had it in the si hatch and it wasnt half the setup you got so im sure yours is alot of fun stop by and take me for a ride if you get a chance.
yup you should have told me i got a tone of stuff i would have helped how ever i could have i love a h22 . If you got something to trade let me know i got all this stuff in trade you know how i do it ill hook you up hell id give you pistons and rods brand new for 400 cant get any better then that. Hell find a stock h23 or h22 block laying around in good shape and ill sell you another crank for 100 bucks then you got 500 in a built bottom end through a head on your stock one get your money back lol.
What transmission you running ? i think i got a couple h23 and i hear there pretty good for boost on h22s that t2t4(f20b lsd trany) i gave my dad to put in his car (we took the m2b4 lsd trany out) would be nasty in there . Mainstream has one for sell in that ek hatch there parting out wow i realy keep up with the h series shit to much lol. I seriously couldnt tell you shit about a b series as far as specs and shit as much honda knowledge as i have lol.
Im honestly still learning this h22 stuff. I have no idea what transmission is in this car. I know thats terrible, but I think Jimmy knows more about whats in my car than I do. I have been so focused on the fabrication of all the piping , mounts, turbo, etc... that all I know is that the head is fully built. hahaha.
Im hoping that with a good tune I can make this engine last a while, I have been datalogging and hawk-eyeing the wideband everytime I get on it.
jj knows what he is doing if he put it in there it will work good together . h22s have very weak ring glands hell i tore one apart yesturday just to freshen it up before putting it in a customers car and it had twp broke ringlands . This was a bone stock motor that has probably 80,000 miles on it running on a stock ecu . It ran fine compression was 220 across the board i just heard a little noise that i been worrying about for two years lol. I broke ring glands in three sets of type s pistons just trying to run all motor before i switched to cp pistons. There ring glands are terrible man lol be careful. I have heard of people running 8 pounds with a good tune and lasting a good while . As soon as they tried to just bump it up to 10 ponds the ring glands broke this is why you dont see boosted stock h22s every were . Everybody says its because of the frm sleeves but that has nothing to do with it they actualy run cooler and have less friction then steal sleeves .As long as you put a decent piston (like a maul) that will run in the frm sleeves they are very strong considering the obd1 are solid deck . It just took someone forever to come out with a piston that would run in them . If the piston would hold up i beleive the stock block would make 600hp. what is your hp goals? Charles at mainstream said they make 400 on boosted maul pistons all the time but i think they have problems when trying more then that. JJ has sprayed the piss put of them with great luck either way good luck man just figured id give you some information since you dont know much about them and im sure you want to enjoy your car some before building the bottom end.
