LMFAO. You decided to sit down w/ TUNED B18C5 Honda w/ some head mods. Head mods USUALLY means increased revs (safely) on an engine that is rev-happy already in STOCK form. My built NON-VTEC head Scotty has my CEL Shift Light set to 8500. People take the rev limiter off of STOCK B20/B18A and push it to 8k on rod bolts intended for nothing over 7200 - so Mike is shifting RIGHT where some1 w/ a trick B18C5 head should shift... 9k or a little north of there. Since he has cams he should still be making power there... not just shifting there to look kool. You bit it off - so now fix your car and chew it.

After looking at the vids -- I'd say his CEL shit light is set to 9k, and he is shifting around 9500. (you always want to "lead" the driver by 500rpms or so b/s it takes some time for you to realize the light is on and react). How far ahead you lead the driver depends on how experienced you are as a racer and how quickly you react. Mike has been doing this for a while so I assume Scotty wouldn't lead him by much more than 500 rpms or so.

here's what i saw in the video. mike test driving his car and pushing it to its limits. that was a "TEST DRIVE"! i didnt see anyone next to him racing so why does it matter where he shifted in that video? that wasnt the race between the 2 so it doesnt fucking matter. my car goes to 6500 but i shift at 6k. all cars are different. just because he shifts that high doesnt mean that he's going to be making more power then you at that point. this thread was pointless. i just think you need to race and get it over with.

I can't speak for either, but if I were to wager a guess.....
I think the two guys don't like each other, so if/when one of them suspects the other of being shadey or lying, they get pissed off.
I'm kind of the same way. If I am going to race someone and we've discussed our setups and everything, I am 100% honest with mine and would be royally pissed if I found out the other guy didn't show me the same respect. But then again, I don't race people that I dislike or have grudge matches (unless it's a fun re-match with a friend) for this very reason.
