So basically what this all boils down to......is the people who work on their cars hate the people with faster cars that don't work on them?

Not at all. It just means that guys that didn't work on their cars have far less appreciation for what it takes to go fast.

For the record, this "how often do you see ____" is not a relevent argument largely because there are so few 8 to 9 second street cars out there. I imagine in 10-15 years, when 8 to 9 second street cars are more common, you will see the "slower" 10-12 second cars doing the same thing. It's all about nipping at the faster guys to see how much you can bite off. You must not have had a whiney little brother always wanting to play tag-along.


Also, to the people that think "built-not-bought": don't tell me that I didn't work just as hard for my money, to spend it on my car, as you did underneath your econobox making it faster. Just because you chose to spend your time working on your car, and I chose to spend my time working on my career doesn't make my effort any less worthy of my own self-respect.
For the record: no, I did not buy my car from the Chezda dealership. I built it.

I'm certainly not dragging down the folks that make money & buy fast cars. I'm just pointing out that there is a larger percentage of those folks that talk shit. Please don't misunderstand. Some of the people that bought their cars are cool as shit. They drive their cars, have fun, don't talk a ridiculous amount of shit.
