look guys this thread realy wasnt directed to nemo but i just used him as a example only cause i knew him personaly. wish i wouldnt have used him now. sorry for all the flake nemo. i guess i realy dont care who knows what i have under the hood cause i hope that my success will motivate somebody else to get my same set up once they see my car performes i guess. im guess i just like helping people out. but im not realy into racing so its not as big of a deal i guess as some people thats all they do. lets try to keep it on topic. everybody has their own thing.

I'll tell anyone who asks mostly because a) my car is still slow b) it's a rotary, they don't know what mods add what kind of horsepower and most of them don't know jack about my carburetor setup and c) I have never dynoed, or run a quarter mile, so even after I tell you what I did, I can only give guesstimates based on what I've seen similar mods do on OTHER Rx-7s.

Also, someone posted a icon when mentioning sleepers. Even though my car isn't all that quick, it's MUCH quicker than a stock Rx-7, and MUCH quicker than it looks, the reason I run a "sleeper" setup is A) I think it's funny when Scion Tc, Mustang and Accord V6 owners etc. get all cocky and challenge me as the "last resort I-couldn't-beat-anything-so-I-am-going-to-pick-on-the-27-year-old-car race" and STILL lose, and B), I don't get any attention from cops, and I seldom get attention from the aforementioned ricers who waste my time trying to get me to race.

all that racing that you do and you still cant even call a race. watch the video and you see my car then about a cars gap and then your car. lets do the math on that one. my car=one car, a car gap= just in case is one car, your car= one car and if we add that all up its 3 cars.

here's how racing works. if my back bumper was at your front bumper then i would only have beaten you by a car. since it was clearly not then i beat you by more then a car. also my car isnt set up for dig runs and wont be anytime soon. i know you had to use that nitrous on that run because i shouldnt have even seen your lights. see the thing is i was a honda guy before i got my srt, hell i even had a ls/vtec hatch that put down 186 and i know that a hatch putting down only 158 like you are claiming would not keep up with me like you did. so in the end you can keep telling yourself that your shit is fast and i never said it wasnt but just remember you're made to play with little cars so stick to them.

next time don't underestimate people and their contacts after popping off and think you have something on wraps....look in your inner circle of friends, b/c one of them outed him and you're liable to be next if you keep it up

not worried about losing. thats not an issue. i wanted it to be a close race. to actually have fun. but if hes just gunna slaughter me and its not fun anymore. the whole point in racing is to be neck and neck with somebody in the same range. i did a 12.3. he ran 11.6 thats a big diff. now hes gunna be faster then what i had to make a close race is now gone. all the fun is gone

the car can be dialed back via hondata on whatever tune he wants....i can assure you jj doesnt want to slaughter you, he could if he wanted to, he just wants to race....in drag racing once you hit a certain point there aren't many cars to choose from, all thats left are people like gastroker, incontt, & neverenftq, who are all out of our league, and then there are people like nemo and atlplayer who could get outrun by my wifes car....theres just not enough people in our power range to find races with

this motor is made of primarily stock parts, it had stock ignition at one point, still has the stock intake manifold, completely stock head, etc

and yes the msd has been on the car for a while, just been giving problems....we think we have it figured out so friday will be test day...not really looking to go faster on the 11.6 tune, just looking for the graph to be a little smoother

I got the ignition fixed so I should be able to run higher boost without it busting up. I will run you on the 11.6 tune up although it may go a little quicker as it was busting up. I did one major mod this week, I put some urethane motor mount inserts in since the engine broke 2 of the 3 major mounts and I was scared that it was going to try to take out the third one and lay the engine on the ground, lol. That may help my 60 some which may contribute to a little better et also.
