Damn that was a long and funny read.

As far as a race goes. I would always like to race someone that will be close with me because it makes it way more fun. Beating the shit out of someone,unless that cavalier with teh underglows and triple stacker pulls up next to you, or you getting raped is never fun.

I have never raced for money just for fun and mainly against my friends. To me the whole scene is all about having fun and not whose dick is bigger. I always tell everyone what I have and what it ran,

Let's take for example, I went to the 1/8th mile here in Phenix City a long time ago and there was a sr20 240 out there. He kept on wanting to race me and I continued to beat the hell out him. When I pulled back around him and his buddy's were like dude you have to have a turbo. I laughed and said "No, here look under my hood". So I just stayed in my car and popped the hood while they looked around. They shut it and said "ok, cool, well this thing is pretty quick then". Then I tried to give him some tips on driving his car which eventually helped him out that night.

i see it this way. there is no need to know what motor im running as long as its all motor. yes i have the bottle hooked up but if someone want to run motor to motor i will gladly unhook my line so that its fair. 99% of the time im running all motor ne way.

yeah and no. it was leaking and i replaced it but the main leak is the tranny. i have put 2 new seals in it but for some reason the seals keep popping out.

its the output shaft seals. where the axles go into the diff.

Yup, no one forces you to hang out with anyone. Once someone does some shadey shit around me, it takes a LOT for me to ever trust or respect them. There are tons of people at car meets, and tons of people who race for fun. The second someone wants to be shadey or secretive, I just move on and talk to other people.

You don't have to get along with everyone, and the people you don't hang out with aren't necessarily your enemies. Just pick and choose the crowd you want to surround yourself with.

By being "shady" I mean approaching someone and acting as if you are going to tell them what you are running, but in reality it's a bit more.

Someone coming up and saying "Hey, wanna run my Mustang? It's just got a pulley swap, exhaust, tune. Should be a high 11 second car" When in reality they have a 150 shot on the car, running on race gas, and have run 10.5's before at the track. Or, the same person asking for a race....but then acting like they have no clue how fast the car is.

There are people who choose not to share their mods, and there are people who don't mind doing so. Then you have that other group of people who try to play down their car or act like it's something that it's not. Those people actually aggravate me FAR more than the ones who are up front and let you know they don't disclose the work they've had done to their car.
