To answer the question.....,

some people race for $. If you're racing for $.. you're racing to win. Advertising a mod lists scares away slower cars and invites faster cars.

it gets tired... people dont just ask "whats in it?" anymore and accept the answer you give them. People start asking every specific detail as if you're theyre college instructor or some shit. Which may be entertaining for the guy asking, but when field the same questions constantly it gets old.

Like the other guy said.... if you advertise your car as X fast and lose to something you shouldnt have lost to. people laugh at you. also... if you're just trying to have fun and race... most people wont race a car they think they cant beat.
I think we were posting at the same time, and I think you and I have the same opinion on the matter for the most part.

However, people don't get laughed at for losing a race that they shouldn't on paper....that just doesn't happen. Talking lots of shit and losing a race will get you humiliated, but I've yet to see someone get ridiculed for simply losing. For the most part, people say "anything can happen on the street."

But I race for fun...most of the people I know, just do it for fun as well. With that being the case, I have no idea why you'd want to purposely race someone you are much faster than. I advertise my mods, weight and hp, because I want a car that's pretty equal to me to run....not someone with 200 less or 200 more horsepower than me.
