ive never seen anything posted on the kf that actually happens besides strait line racing. Every callout to do mountain runs ends up being a 5 page thread where nothing happens but a bunch of people bitching. Even if there was a section dedicated mountain runs and road coarse call outs it would see less action than the American car section lol. I dont see why anyone cares about the strait line racing rule

Shit would be alot more simple if you just mad a sub forum with road racing. If anyone trys bringin that shit into the straight line forum do what you say and 1 week ban etc. etc.

I have no idea what the vote is about, so I'll just state my opinion.

The types of races this forum is typically about, is straight line racing. By no means does that mean people here believe straight line racing is the ONLY way to race. However, when you're on the street, that's about the only type of race to setup. 99% of the people who mod their cars, are modding them to go faster in a straight line. Even when you have a car that can handle really well, MOST of your driving on the street caters to the acceleration aspect of its performance, not the handling part of it. I have always driven cars that were pretty good at handling, since I was 19......and while I LOVE the feeling of ripping through a turn with no body roll or sliding, the fact of the matter is, I get to "play" with the throttle way more than I do the steering wheel.

I have no problem with people making callouts for mountain runs, and I certainly have no problem with people posting videos of road racing. However, these need to be separated....be it either by a RULE or a separate forum. Drag racers don't need to be calling out NSX's and talking about how they're a waste of money, and guys driving Boxters don't need to be calling out fox bodies to Road Atlanta.

Typically the guys who get all fired up are the idiots who can't appreciate BOTH as a form of racing. The guys who have cars that can't turn for shit are usually the ones calling road racing gay, and the ones with slow ass cars that handle well are ripping on the drag racers. Get over your fucking issues, and quit acting like dumbasses.

By the way, an old car site that my friends and I started years ago has pretty much turned into a road racing site, so if anyone is interested, just PM me and I'll give you the address.

Reply to your reps, which I tried to give back with a smart ass answer...but I hit the button too fast! LOL Would have been this: Let me de-tune the Evo and put a road course supsension on it and I will run you anywhere you want! Please don't make this a challenge! I need my focus elsewhere.

Alright, so I guess he wasn't officially bench racing. But the "when I have my..." comments have been officially sissy gay for years now.

Add to the fact that saying other types of racing that you aren't interested in are gay is full of bukkake veggie wrap as well.

That whole post may have well been written in pink, with a rainbow boarder around it.

That's not a smart ass comment, that's was the whole point of my comment..

I mean, one can make any car fast at drag racing, I could make mine..

So don't go saying its slow, when it will blow your doors off at road atlanta..

Exactly, isn't it funny that people talk shit about my car being "slow", and try to drag race me? Every time I get called out by a redneck to race drag, and then get told that my car is slow..

And I responded in saying that this has nothing to do with what car I drive, but the mere fact that drag racing is gay, regardless of anything else.. If I had a car that was both fast in a straight line and around turns, I would still hate on drag racing.. I picked the GT2 because I am a Porsche fan boy and that that car excels in both aspects.. It was a randomly (somewhat) selected example.. I could of said a Z06 (which I could easily own), regardless that isn't the point.. So that being said, your comment is void..

Now what you said on the other hand, THAT was gay:

    CLIFF NOTES FOR YOU:

    1. You said people that say drag racing is gay say it BECAUSE those people have cars that are slow in straight line

    2. I responded and proved that comment wrong by saying that if I had a car that was fast in both, I would still say drag racing is gay.

No... all of your reply's are

You show absolutely no depth in racing and are fixated on belittling something you have NO idea about. Well done, you just earned yourself the DB of the year award.

Drag racing is the lowest breed of racing.. I do have an idea about what I am talking about, I gave it a try, went to multiple drag events, raced multiple cars (not all fast)..

I mean, it really takes no skill.. How hard is it to perfectly launch a car and perfectly shift? Its not.. I do it, all the time.. And people sit around and watch this?

DB of the year, what an honor! Ill gladly take that!! Thank you!

I challenge you to run a drag time as fast as the professionals did during the road test with your car. Until then, stop talking about what you can and can't do.

I think road racing is gay because I can just get a GTR and it will drive the course for me.

Hmm, I'm not calling you a liar but proof would be nice. I posted a time .6 under what some professionals did.

All I'm saying is because you don't like drag racing does not mean it is the lowest breed. If you have actual proof of it being the lowest breed, please enlighten us. It is definitely not a hard sport but try driving something in the 8s range, I'm sure you or I would do great.

ill look through my glovebox.. But I know you know justin (sickstang), I think kayfunk might even have the video..

No proof, I think drag racing is gay.. I surely upset a lot of people saying this, but when I say the same with the guys that road race at Road Atlanta, they all seem to agree..

Being good at racing around Road Atlanta deff requires more skill than these "drag racers"..

I can agree to that due to more variables. Also if you ask most people who race at the drag strip a lot will agree that road racing is "gay".

    Not surprising!

Getting the apex right, heal toe, rev matching, downshifting, controlling over/understeer, braking! I mean there is soo much to racing beyond the launch and the shifting.. Anyone good will launch perfectly and shift perfectly as well..

    wait wut?

    he has a legit point.
finding the apex right, heal toe, rev matching, downshifting, turning, controlling over/understeer, braking > launching hard, powershifting, and.. oh braking at the end of the strip.

    Save ur engines!

Drag racing has such a limited skill set compared to road racing. That is a fact. If you're trying to argue for drag racing you might be better off sticking to subjective points. Drag racing TO ME is not as fun for all the above stated reasons, plus you only get to "race" for a few seconds at a time. Endurance racing is where it's at.

Wow dude, just WOW. Your ignorance is astonishing. Anyone can make a car fast around a road course, too. You know how? Put a set of tires on any moderate performance vehicle and BAM you've just taken 4 seconds off your RA lap time.

There are stripped down Miatas with less than 10k into them tearing up RA just like there are 9 second POS Fox Bodies at Commerce. Quit with your snobby fucking attitude just because you have a fancy car and prefer a form of racing that has more variables in it.

Frog posted this stupid shit for pages and pages on IS.

Unfortunately, he's too dumb to realize that this isn't a drag racing vs. road racing debate.

Thing is, it doesn't matter what form of racing you PREFER....if your mind isn't big enough to understand and respect other people for having a different taste in things, then you don't deserve to procreate.

And seriously dude - "....when I have a GT2" "A Z06 (which I could easily own)" The more you type, the only thing you prove is how much of a stupid douchebag you are.

Please stop heel/toe'ing and rev matching, and maybe pick up a book or go back to school or something and work on being a more intelligent and productive member of society before getting back out to the road courses.

Ok, ok.. Ill admit, drag racing is sooo cool! I can't get enough of the rush from seeing a car take 12 seconds to RACE down a 1/4 mile stretch..

I wish I could launch my car and shift, you elitists are so smart, open minded, and most off all; such good racers! And I am sorry for such preposterous accusations, ignorance does not reign here, not in GA..

I wish I could have such exemplar educations as you all, travel as much as you do, and experienced as many things as you have.. I also wish I could run the drag strip and get on my first couple tries: professional times.. That is SO hard..

Now, I will try to learn how to read, and maybe one day, learn how to put my car in 1st gear and be able to make it move..

I bow to you all, and hope to one day become one of you..

Anyway, preach all that noise to this guy:

I joined IS understanding and respecting other peoples preferences.. Until my preference (road racing), which is a superior form of racing, got bashed on..

You guys have no better comebacks than calling me stupid?

Exactly my point.. By definition, anyone who is a good road racer is good at launching and shifting.. Drag racing requires little skill..

Now back to the OP.. Im off to sleep before finals..

Sorry Frog, don't really know what else to call you.

You're just...a stupid human being. Your brain just doesn't work very well.

Just like right now....you think that I'm calling you stupid because you road race. You think that what type of racing you like determines your educational level, apparently.

The thing is, no matter what kind of car you drive, what kind of racing you do, how good you are at it, how much money you make, or whatever else.....you're still too stupid to even be able to have a conversation. And obviously your mind is way too small to appreciate more than 1 thing at a time.
