You do realize that 1G's have a ton of Hyundai parts in them? I've used a bunch of them in my 10sec 1G. So this Hyundai vs DSM thing is total bull****. DSM = Hyundai.

I know they have Hyundai parts in 1Gs, but a Hyundai is simply not a 1G, period.

Just because there are VW parts in a Rolls Royce doesn't mean Rolls Royce = VW

You're wrong. Hyundai/DSM, and even the 6G in the 3kgt all shared powertrains and parts alike. What's the argument with DSM vs Hyundai anyway? It's not like the build quality is any better, inside OR out, on either car. They're both equally as ****ty, and this is coming from someone who owns 3 DSM's, all from 350whp to 750whp. DSM=Hyundai, and vice versa, it's just a fact.

So whats the 1G equivalent in Hyundai's again? Have you ever owned or driven an early 90's Hyundai and compared it to a 1G?

Nah, never owned one, but my first lead tech worked at Hyundai before coming to me, and we used to get parts for our race car from Hyundai. It was easier to get from them, as much of the DSM crowd didn't realize they were the same. BTW, 1G's and the Sonata shared the same platform. This look familiar?

So, when did they make AWD 2.0 turbo Sonatas? Sure it's a swap, but from factory, don't think so.

LOL, so you're gonna try to split hair b/c of the only differences being the AWD tranny, DS, TC, and IRS? You have a FWD DSM anyway, so the parts are the same. Yes, from the factory, the Sonata was equipped with with that little 2 liter that everyone loves, unequal length axles and all. There are swaps done into those cars, as they were equipped with the N/T motors, but there is NO difference in the two. Might be a tough pill for you to swallow, but DSM = Hyundai. I know what I'm talking about.

Why wasn't it included in the DSM venture? I mean, I'm not trying to split hair, I know where you are coming from, I know the Talon and Eclipse are the same, but I don't go around calling my car a Mitsubishi Eclipse, because that's not what it is.

All DSM's are the same, talon, eclipse, or laser. Hyundai's place in the US market was very new at the time, and they really only had one car on the market, the Excel. Their rep was that of an econo car, and one with quality issues at that. On the other hand, Mitsubishi was going after the sport compact crowd, and there's no way anyone would've bought into the hype if Hyundai's name was included. Things have turned full circle now though. Hyundai's really aren't bad cars for the money, and the build quality on their new cars is no better/worse than Mitsubishi's, or any domestic car for that matter.

Hyundai's luxury side is ok, I mean I would never buy it just because it rocks that badge. Seriously, I must be hating or something, but I can stand Hyundai or Kia. But where is the performance side of Hyundai? But how can you say Hyundai and Mitsubishi build quality is no different, so you are saying they have equal amount of R&D invested???

Absolutely they have similar R&D. What leads you to believe that Mitsubishi is superior? Hyundai now offers 100k warranty with their cars. They are just now starting to diversify into other areas. Have you seen the Genesis coupe? It's RWD, 6spd, (6cyl or 4cyl turbo, your choice) and a step in the right direction for sure. People can hate all they want, but the proof is there. They do build a pretty decent car now, and they're getting better every year.

Hmm....looks like I have been ignorant in Hyundai's recent developments. They sure have some good cars coming out, but, it's still a Hyundai

True they are getting better and truly not that bad but Korean brands are nothing but brands posing other cars. They make nothing but exact "korean" versions of the same car. Sometimes they even use the same style grill accents and such and build their cheaper car just like the other and claims it's so much better because of the warrenty and there "standard features" when they are still at the bottom of the list for desirable cars..All the stuff is just marketing. They have no soul, no personality, nothing good excet that they are uglier and cheaper compared to their competition. They are simply poser-powered mobiles that arn't even as good as the real deal.
Mitsubishi has been around for a VERY long time there are actually Mitsubishi's with 100,000, 200,000, 300,000 miles on them that are still very desirable/older cars..Unlike Hyundai/Kia hah i'd love to drive a 1994 Hyundai with 250k. They have a long way to go and need to develop a brand style that's not a pure copy.

    supercharge is one word jackass.

I ran FASTER times than a stock GT at 10psi. I never got it tuned correctly with the 18psi to run good times. I also never got to use the 35 wet shot or meth.

Where did I say 13.1 was "super" fast? It was at 10psi and stock internals and street tires. Not bad from my perspective.

The only bad part is you super charged a v6 mustang.

It cost you more money, than to run the same time as a stock Gt.
