They have gotten worse....or better I should say....at enforcing rules. I have ran low 12's at sdr and not been asked to wear a helmet....but Ive also ran 13.9999999 and been asked to...more recently with my stang they have refused to give me my time slip until I show them my helmet

Not at all, after I was done with my passes if i was at a complete stop it didnt work but if I gave it some gas it would work just fine:thinking: Gotta couple of ppl to vouch for that, but this had no affect on my times

The part that is bolded and in red is the only part about this that surprises me. My car is a fat ass...or maybe I am...or maybe both. I cant believe my car is 100lbs heavier than that vert! those 60's are not too bad on nittos...certainly better than the 2.2 60's I see! Now if you dont mind Chris would you be so kind as to send me a pm with what is done to your car? 14.0@97 is pretty good for a "stock" 2v

Yep, that 1st pass is always a learning pass for me. I like to see how the car reacts, shifts, drives, stops and a whole lot more. I dont know if you would have beat me then as my reaction time would have probably been better than yours and the et was 14.055 seconds and your best et was 14.073. If I am pressured I always drive better.

I like messing with chris because he can take it and doesnt get his ass on his shoulders. i also like consistent cars. jj was real consistent ,joey was real cosistent driving the hell out of that 400hp (i was at the dyno when he made 400 so i know what his car makes and a 400hp integra on bold ass 22s running 11.1 is screaming ) and i have to say chris was consistent although he does owe me a dollar lol.

I don't see it happening, unless you change your setup. I'm guess that to drop .2 in your 60', you will need more power, or more traction. Are you going to run your bottle this time? Have you checked yur suspension setup?

I may possibly be getting to new drag radials before saturday. last time I went I did a 2.0 60 ft still spinning a little. My suspension is still stock, No I wont be on the bottle because I wanna break 13s without it. If I dont get new drags I'm just gonna run the ones I got at around 10psi last time I ran em at 15 psi.

10psi works on slicks, I haven't found a DR that works at 10. 15-20 seems to work best for most. Try 17, and slip the clutch a little. You are probably shocking them to hard - I always do that myself, so I get bad 60' times.

That's the problem. The sidewall on the DRs are stiff, and can't absord the shock that a stick car gives them. You have to preload them, or ease into them. I'm not very good with them. Slicks are easier, as they absorb the hit with their soft sidewalls.

Rule of thumb with a two valve is if you want to go fast is boost it. I kind of want to supercharge it on stock everything and get to about 350 rwhp and be done. I need to start putting my money towards something else.

HCI and a 150 shot on each, GTO is faster if you are referring to a foxbody 5.0. The coyote 5.0's are a little different though, and that might have a different outcome. That motor is already pretty impressive. I know where one is in a foxbody right now.

That used to be true. It used to be that if you made 500-600 rwhp, and weighed 2800 or so, that you owned the street - and were in a foxbody or Camaro.
Now, everyone has more than that - Vettes, Evos, GTRs, 240s, Supras, RX7s, etc.
Foxbodys can b built cheap though, if you are only concerned about racing. Parts are cheap.

Are you going with the SN95 setup up front or some kind of aftermarket? If you're doing the SN thing, make sure and go with the 99+ dual piston PBR calipers. It'll save you some time and headache in the future. Also where's he moving the shop to? I'm not up to speed with whats going on at KMS.

Yes, 94-95 SN95 with the PBRs is what I am doing now up front.

I have already been running the Hawk HP+ for a long time. I am a big Hawk fan.

I'm keeping the drums in back for now - need to spend money on the transmission first. I need to keep it narrow to fit my new 18x9.5s in the back for now.

try driving a nice all motor car with it this cold hell i cant tell if the car just magicaly got waaaay stronger or if its just to cold to hook lol. I have never been able to hook in first then it got to were when you hit vtec in second it would blow the tires off . After that it was spinning after 4,000 in second before i ever hit vtec after the last dyno tunning. Now with it this cold it blows them up strait threw third lol. It used to let lose barely in third almost like you dropped the clucth and made it spin but now just blows them off in third. Joey we need to do some street pulls just to see the turbo verses allmotor difference we will start in fourth ha ha.

I take people for a ride and they think im playing with the clutch making it spin lol. I just raise my left foot up and stomp the right one and it blows the tires up . Dad says he can always tell when i have driven the car it has rubber all down the side of it.

Cold tires + cold pavement = instant spinning.

I agree. So its about the cold roads ? Damn i thought it has something to do with the twenty more foot ponds of tourqe we made on the dyno the other day. :ninja:
