Is it still such a big deal? I mean damn. I think people need to really get over the whole "Stick with your kind" deal. This isn't the olden' days anymore. I went out last night, something that I rarely do, only to hear and see dirty looks from at least 4 or 5 different people there. In the area that I was sitting, there was another interracial couple and the entire night, these ignorant females were making comments about how wrong it is, how we are sell-outs, etc. To me love has no color. Why is it that people still have a problem with this shit man. I've dated a lot of different races and it seems like black and white were the only time that i ever encountered discrimination or ingorance. Who here dates interracially or is in a interracial relationship? Are y'all having any issues with society or ignorant people?

I have dated interracially and I am currently. People still do that because that is how they were raised. They believe something shouldn't mix, personally, I think like you, love has no color. You get more of this the farther south you go. It is not as bad up North where diversity is more welcomed.

I'm not talking about a work relationship either - a true friendship can easily change your perspective on a lot of things.


You can easily do yourself a disservice by limiting yourself to one race but of course, i have to say - go with whatever makes you happy. :)

I grew up in the projects so the only white people we saw were police or social workers. I got older and moved to the suburbs when i was like 15 and everything changed. There is an answer to that - it's a combination of insecurity combined with inquisition.

Some people simply want to see and evaluate what there are witnessing since it's a little 'out of the norm.' Some admire it while others disprove of it. For the people that disprove; it's because of there lack of understanding. Due to ignorance, some people get offended because: for some reason, it causes them to question themselves - as if they had a chance with you and you turned them down for someone of another race?????

For example if [insert white actress name here] decided to date some random guy of another race some people would be hurt. - look idiot why do you care she wouldn't have dated you anyway, it's her preference. If she dated a white guy it still wouldn't benefit you in any way shape or form.

It's just really hard for humans to get through ignorant states - you constantly have to check yourself.

Joining in a little late here, but I voted "stick with my kind" simply because its all I know. Never have dated outside my race because I've never found someone outside my race I wanted to date. Not because I avoid them or anything just not really in a culturally diverse social strata. Never have been. I have friends whose girlfriends are of another race and I have friends that are other races that date girls that are the same race as me. Nothing against it, its just never happened to me.

The first part is not a reason its just how it has been. Like I said later, I'm not exposed to a lot of cultural diversity because of my surroundings (I'm a white guy in a mostly white fraternity at GA Tech and the girls that come over here are almost all white, went to private Christian schools my whole life so pretty much the same). For some reason, I'm just not into most Indian girls...probably because they all have some characteristic/mannerism that turns me off because it reminds me of something that someone in my family would do. id do all the races, but i have a really hard time finding a hot black chic(im white)and an even harder time finding a black chic that is interested in me. ive had women from almost all of the azn countries and absolutely love them. almost married a mexican girl but she flipped out on my ass. ive even had an indian girl and one girl from iran. nowadays ive even moved over into european girls. my current gf is romanian. shes white as i am, so is that considered a different race. even tho she looks just like a white girl i still get some odd looks when people hear us talk, just coz she has a strong accent and im pretty southern whiteboy sounding.
