    Yeah, USDM ITRs have the 4.4 FD. As for the JDM ITRs, 96 specs had the J4D with the 4.4 FD, and the 98 specs had the N3E with the 4.78 FD.

    so then maybe my tranny is a 96 cuz i got it with my full jdm itr swap so nad auto lie to me then

    I went through similar confusion when I bought my ITR swap. It was listed as a '98-spec. The date stamp on the head was '99, and the motor came with a '98-spec 4-1 header. But the transmission had the J4D stamp on it. Turns out it was indeed a '98-spec motor mated to a '96-spec tranny. Still an awesome transmission though
