Take a vernier caliper and check the bore... pretty easy to do- If it is in fact 84mm, then thats crazy.
You cannot bore a stock ls to 84mm that block is junk now

No, the block guard will do nothing for the thin walls. Think about a big firecracker in an aluminum can. End result is cracked sleeves. That block would have to be resleeved to be able to do something with it.
