You can put your motor into a 88-95 but the motor will need to be motified to accept the newer cable/hydro trans.Originally Posted by JDM onlyy

Can't mate the head to the block, even though its based off of the single cam D-series...one of the bolts won't work or something. I forgot because my friend told me and he tried it but it didn't work so thats something thats not going to work. I believe the hydro tranny and cable tranny will work on it...as long as it was made for D-series though. But I could be mistaking...Originally Posted by 1SOL2NV
i heard there was a special bolt you use ...

if thats the case how much u want for this head and is there anything wrong with it ???? lol if u have a z6 head you really need to try n mate it to that block .. y8=obd2 ... i think a z6 would mate to it ...

Well, I haven't disassembled the head but it should be good. Dunno, I might have a buyer on this whole thing, if he flakes then I'll let you know. Not really sure bout mating a z6 head to it, going to have to do research before I decide to part out like that...

Naw really though, can you stick a single cam vtec head on a d16a1 block?
If you can then my world has been rockedd...lol
That answer is NO! If it was a blacktop ZC form a 88-95 model then you can, and it will give you a static compression of 10:8-11.2:1 depending on which SOHC head you use.Originally Posted by JDM onlyy
The pistons/rods/crank will work though in any d-series.
If you want to build a monster, use a a6 block, D17A1 crank/rods, and get some aftermarket pistons. If you bored it out to a 79MM, or got it re- sleeved, the motor would be about a 1.85L SOHC
oh joy..
Yeah I heard about those in magazines. Was thinking bout taking my dads car apart to do it but then again he'd get pretty pissed if I fucked his car to make mine faster...lol dunno why though...Originally Posted by Skinny
