Default My best time from Spring 08 Import Showdown

I know this is LATE as all can be, but I just joined so =P

1990 Eclipse GSX with a 7bolt engine. I'll post mods if ya'll are interested

    R/T .162
60' 1.941 Spun all 4 on that launch
    330 5.549
    1/8 8.449
    MPH 86.05
    1000 10.937
    1/4 13.028
    MPH 108.13

I tried to hot-lap for a 12 second pass but after that run my alternator took a dump, and my dying turbo finally blew completely, and i had excessive blow-by.

no. this is on a 20g. I should be much faster but I'm blind tuning, so I have no idea what my EGT's are or anything like that. Not a safe way to run, but you gotta run what ya brung if ya know what I am saying.

    impressive!

blind tuning can be done but it requires alot of math-work. Sorry to hear the turbo took a dump. Oh yea, and EGT gauge is a must unless u do what i do and replace the front o2 sensor with the lc1 wideband and use the emulated narrowband to send to the pcm. It will shut off if your EGTs go over 1500.

Sucks during a race but to me its worth losing to avoid pistons popping.

    good luck

What sucks even more is that I bought the 100 dollar rebuild kit, rebuilt it and it spun fine, then i laid it down on its side without the turbine housing on and all the weight was on the turbine wheel, so it bent the shaft and wont spin freely anymore... Now Im just trying to save up and get a 60trim from a friend of mine, since a new turbine wheel and shaft is 237 dollars from Forced Performance.
