Well, to my own opinion, I dont think a 350z would beat an evo.... it so happens I worked at Z1 motorsports (for all your 300zx, 350z, and G35 needs) And I know that the 350z's do not have all that much potential, maybe with a TT APS kit and test pipes, port and polish, lightweight pulley set, injectors, a cold air intake and some other stuff, then MAYBE you might be able to beat him...(if you did those mods, you'd be sitting around 400HP to the ground) I know an evo stands at 370ish HP...(I could be off....) And if you had only 300HP (to the ground or.... if its not to the ground, yeah then you're right around 280ish) or so.... I know he would roast your butt, unless he slowed down for whatever reason. If you beat him and thats the real case- congrats. But to my own opinion yeah, I sure as hell would have seen you loose, maybe you wont admit it but whatever. (hate on me for this, call me a ricer or whatever, but I am just throwing my .02 cents in as is everyone else.) Nice car though, good luck with the mods- Good luck with future races...

Eh, I've driven both a modded Evo VIII and modded 350z and I would guess that the Evo walked him from 70-120. The Z probably caught up just as the Evo was starting to shut down.

i made it clear in the beginning the evo was not very modded, i saw an exhaust, and heard a not so loud blow off valve. i have alot of friends with evos there'd be no way i could ever beat a significantly modded EVO in my z

pitwork we started off at 70- 75 ish we were even (with him maybe up half a fender) for a bit, went into 4th and during the shift he pulled a full fender.. but i started pulling it back quick and passed him relatively easy (i mean driver skill wouldnt be needed ex: kung fu shifting) we got up to around 140mph with me up by 1 car and i dont mean him at my rear bumper i mean a whole car between my rear bumper and his front bumper

why would you need the APS TT KIT and a cold air intake?... thats why its called a turbo kit.. comes with all the needs. you can barely even call the APS kit's intakes true cold air. with that intercooler.. wouldnt make a difference
