the color of stain i'm gonna use is called red mahogony... real dark with a red tint. also, i've definitely been considering some black midevil looking rod iron hoops mounted on the inside of the posts.

sweeet, that's kinda how i'm doing my kitchen cabinets...they are solid oak and were new in the house when i bought it but stained a golden oak/antique...ugh! Been sanding them and have taken a red stain and black and mixed it together for the same look.Originally Posted by b18hb
